My story, The Story of Lightning Flash, is cancelled for the foreseeable (and most likely all of the) future. This is because I cannot write more of it because of not having enough time with everything going on in my life. It will most likely stay up, but will be cancelled.

The new chapter is closing on 11k words, and it might well be up over 15k when all is said and done. Too far past that, and I’ll have to think about breaking it up again. I’ve gotten close to finishing the first and last (fourth) sections, with the second section at 70% done and the third, about 30%. But the third is in some ways the most crucial, given that’s where you’re going to learn what’s going on elsewhere in the Kingdom and just where/when/how the Cloven struck.
After a turkey week break from work that wasn’t a full week (had to work Monday) or very restful due to travel, I’m back on the job, both in the office and writing the new C&C chapters. Yes, chapters, as with the total length of this thing now approaching 24,000 words, I’m going to have to break it up one last time. That’s just too long for an adult chapter, even a climactic one. And yes, even one chock full of lore and worldbuilding goodies.
The first chapter draft for C&C is off to prereaders, weighing in at a whopping 17,775 words. So far I’ve gotten one of those prereads back with another in progress, and the initial feedback is favorable. As I’m still picking at it and slipping stuff in, it’s likely going to be approaching 19,000 or more words when all is said and done. But I don’t think I’ll reduce its size by splitting it this time. It’s a climactic chapter, so even as a clop chapter, it will be of climatic chapter length.
The last release was a success, picking up one new like and a slew of additional tracks, so a warm welcome to new readers! Hope you enjoy the story, both what's already written and going forward. I typically blog about my stories, both to keep readers up to date on release schedules and what to expect in them going forward.
Heyo, folks. Just wanted to let you know that the next Eros chapter is now with prereaders. Weighing in at 10,000 words, it's actually a little light on sex after the initial section, but as the reason involves some character development and worldbuilding, hopefully you won't mind too much. But that's not the only thing I wanted to mention.
To thank everyone who replied on my previous blog. The outpouring of support I received was very much appreciated, and very much needed for the mood I was in. With the success of Breathless; thank you all very much BTW, I'll be working on finishing Tubby the Plush Pony. After Tubby, if I have the time and energy, I'll crank out another Continue chapter. Yes, it's still a thing.
Finally, after all this time, I, GodOfBBQ will begin production of Defective! And I know all of you people who were waiting for Defective are being Shia Laboufs right now and are saying,
So I'm not gonna lie. I really liked that story. It was something different at the time and something I had in my head for a while. It was also a complete "shrug and fuck it" story. Meaning it wasn't cute, or clop, or straight out comedy. (The three-Cs of this site.)

There is a poll I posted on an earlier blog against Feathered Hearts: Continuation and Chronicles asking what I should work on next. As I decided it was unfair to tag that story but exclude my others, I’m posting additional blogs for readers of my other active stories as well. If you want to sound off, you can do so
Titled The Ties that Bind and weighing in at a healthy 12.2k words, it will be the final original chapter of this sequence and transition back to the original story. Prereads thus far have been very favorable, and judging by the sheer number of google doc comments from my reviewers, it should spark a lot of thought and (hopefully) good commentary among readers as well.
When I started getting sick on Monday and one of those home COVID rapid antigen tests came back positive. But the symptoms didn’t match, as even though I was shortly running a temperature, I had no trouble breathing, my coughing was productive, and I kept my sense of smell. Instead, I was chilled and achy with a yo-yoing fever.
For the Summer Sin Celebration. For those of you unfamiliar with it, participating in it means you’re basically part of a story exchange; given an assignment to write someone else’s story request and keep it of limited length. This was the result of AJA’s assignment:

And now I see a lot better some of what DEL was getting at with certain references and even parts of the storyline.
In the form of not baseball games, but back-to-back releases of both Feathered Hearts: Continuation and Chronicles and the second full chapter of Harmonic Resonance. Yep, you heard right—you'll get both a warfic and a clopfic on Wednesday night. I think that pretty much covers all the bases!
Chapters 10-13 R-rated/M-rated updates to Continuation and Chronicles are targeted for release on Sunday morning, with the remainder following at the rate of one additional M-rated entry plus any changed preceding chapters (which will typically be R-rated) every two days. As things stand, chapters 10-12 will be R-rated and 13 will be M-rated, though I’ve been tempted to go further with 12 as well.
So...A Tale of Two Suns.
I see that a number of people want me to continue the series, and have been waiting for years, and for those that have waited, I apologize. I felt the desire to continue had left me, and I’d pulled away from writing in general for a long time, for that, and other reasons. But now I’m back to writing fanfic, for MLPFIM and other fandoms, so the question of continuing it is on my mind, especially since there is interest in its continuation.
