How to Date a Princess Milestone · 11:30pm Oct 20th, 2018

So looking back at How to Date a Princess, I just noticed that it has actually exceeded one hundred thumbs up! So, YAY! :raritystarry:

Isn't this what authors do? Usually write some sort of post to celebrate such an achievement? Yes? No? Don't care, doing it anyway :derpytongue2:

So thank you to everyone who has given my silly idea a thumbs up and I hope I can continue to deliver stories that make your day just that much better. Thank you for all your support. You rock :rainbowdetermined2:

Thank Y'all So Much! · 12:47pm May 31st, 2021

How the heck does a random angst fic I wrote, 2 years out of experience, half-asleep, manage to make it 3rd in the featured list? I am astonished.

Well, it's all thanks to you guys giving it the time of day, so thank you immensely! I really expected Post Mortem to just fade in and out of memory.

Monthly Sneak Peak 2: Happy Holidays and How to Meet the Parents · 4:00am Dec 30th, 2021

Happy Holidays everypony! A little late, I know, but better late than never. Christmas was great, with me getting to spend it with my Fiancee's family. She even got me a pillow that says "Stop Everything. Kris Get The Banana. Potassium" from Delta Rune and a picture frame with an image of Izzy that says "May you always be as happy as an Izzy with a tennis ball," which is just perfect. I may also have a small Christmas special chapter sometime in the next month, but it depends on how much free

How It Works: Marketing Your Book · 10:53am May 9th

If you're a first-time author wondering how to market your book, you likely have many more questions than answers. But don't worry because it's a natural part of the process; once you learn more, you'll understand how to go about it. For at least the past 20 years, the internet has been upending and revolutionizing the media and PR landscape. It affects book promotion just as it has other industries. There are fewer

How To Write Good Part One: Fred Clark's Holy Fury · 5:40pm Feb 5th, 2017

Hello everyone! Welcome to my new and unrequested series on learning about writing. I've blogged about bits of writing before, but here I want to go from the ground up and do something a little bit more comprehensive. I'm not writing a textbook with every aspect of storytelling covered one after another - hell, my own eyes glaze the fuck over when I see guides for newbie writers with headings and subheadings for 'plot' 'characters' 'villains' with a hundred points in alphabetical order, after

"Oh Tumbleweed!" you cry.

"Welcome back from that vacation adventure! Surely you have more wonderful pony stories in the works, yes? But if there are no updates to be made in the near future, could you at least tell us how to write the pink pony, because you are best at ponies?"

WELL LET ME TELL YOU.

IN WHICH I TALK BURRITOS AGAIN:
So, as promised, "Adagio" has been posted. I really need to figure out when the best time to post is, since it's been up for over a day and almost no one has read it… save for the two downvote fairies who always seem to get to my work before anyone else. Maybe I should have submitted it to the moderator queue instead of just posting it directly?

More thoughts past the jump.

Do you ever want to start a story over? · 5:59am Aug 12th, 2019

Welp, first blog or whatever.

Anyways, after rereading my first story on this site, I kinda want to start it all over with a new one but still have the same characters, maybe get rid of a few. It just doesn't sit well for me anymore and I have no idea why.

Hey guys. Galaxy here. Just wanted to post this little update regarding my stories. I know some of you may have thought I take requests for stories. Hate to burst your bubble, but I don't. The only reason you guys see other users in any of my stories is because those users are close friends of mine. (You guys know who you are ^^) Secondly, yes, I have noticed the lack of E and T rated fics in my archives. That is because I excel at M rated adventure

Workflow for Finding and Using Sound Effects in Fanfiction Readings · 4:26am May 24th, 2015

Let me get this out of the way right now: Adding sound effects to fanfic readings takes time. A single sound that a listener may hear once for a half a second could take you upwards of a half an hour to find, edit in, and fine tune to fit exactly how the story is interpreted. But adding sounds can really make your finished product come alive in a way that a normal reading would not be able to accomplish.

How I Write Ponies · 6:57am Nov 26th, 2020

So, I've noticed that my approach to writing the various main MLP characters is generally well-received, but it has not escaped my attention that some of my choices touch the occasional nerve. There are a million 'right' ways to write these characters of course...And the discerning pony of letters may even notice differences between how a character acts in one episode of the show to the next, depending on the episode's writer. All that being said, I want to lay out my general approach to the
