Chapter Notes: Chicago (Destination Unknown) · 10:15pm Oct 14th, 2021
Chicago, the windy city! Somehow pegasi always seem to find themselves there, don’t they?
Thanks to AlwaysDressesInStyle for pre-reading!

It’s no secret I get a lot of ideas while at work. From things people say, to things I’m working on, to things I hear on the radio, to just the everyday minutia and what if there were a pony involved in the process?
Ever since I penned the first story, I thought about her buying things with her name on them.
One nice thing about being handsome and famousTM* is that you inspire others to follow in your hoofsteps footsteps. Such it is with this story--Nitro Indigo, inspired by my Not-A-Contest, decided to run her own not-a-contest, this one involving Equestrian tourists to Earth.
I wans't gonna write an April Fool's fic this year.
The adorable espionage continues!
First, let me thank my pre-reader, MSPiper, who’s currently dealing with me saying I’m going to finish something by a certain time, not finishing it on time, and then suddenly sending him a PM saying, “Oh, by the way, I just finished the latest chapter and want to publish in a few hours, wanna give it one more look?”
By now (’cause I’m late on the blog post), most of y’all will have noticed that neither Mongolia nor friction particularly feature in my latest offering. It’s also light on actual horses, depending on your headcanon.
There’s a reason for that.
Happy Labor Day, Y’all!
Here in Americaland, we set aside the first Monday in September to celebrate the working mare man. Also in Canada, incidentally; much of the rest of the world celebrates on May 1.
It’s no coincidence that all four of the stories I published over the weekend feature working mares and stallions.
It’s been a year since I launched the not-a-contest, and in that time there have been 31 stories written specifically (or not specifically) for the group.
That’s pretty good! Keep ‘em coming!
A Jinglemas story for Emotion Nexus.
In case y’all don’t know who Lily Longsocks is, she’s relentlessly adorable.
Wow, this is at least the second one-shot I’ve written involving ponies eating pizza. What were the odds of that?
For better or worse, not pre-read by anybody. Just like a Little Caesar’s Hot and Ready doesn’t get any inspection before it goes out the door . . . helps keep the price low, y’know?
Furry Foray Contest, a retrospective.
For anyone who was paying attention to this account or FimFiction in general, there were suddenly a bunch of crossover fics with very specific furry characters . . . somebody ran a contest. Probably can't link to it, 'cause the rules, but it was called the Furry Foray Festival.
Here we goooooo! As I try and remember all the different obscure references I put in this thing. If I miss one, anthro Sparkler is gonna come after me.
Oh boy, today was a day. Rather than give you a long, ranty blogpost about the two delightful comebacks I got to work on (one which had a failure which had nothing to do with what I'd fixed on the car previously and the other which had a recurrence of an issue that the customer had chosen not to repair the last time we saw it) or discuss the Ford Ranger that I'm diagnosing for a no-start (in the case of this Ranger, no-start is in everyone's best interest, because then the owner can't drive it
Happy Labor Day, y'all! Here in the US we celebrate by letting some workers have the day off while other still have to work. Also one of my neighbors celebrated by launching a few leftover fireworks, but that's not exactly tradition.
So we've finally reached the end of the app stories (at least on my end). Express your sorrow or happiness as appropriate.
Figure I ought to at least say something about the stories and the ponies.
