One week from now, I'll be at BABSCon 2023 · 4:05am Mar 31st, 2023
I don't know how many of you will be there, but if you wanna say hi, drop me a line.

Even though it was a shorter affair for me this year than usual, it was still great to get to Nottingham for UK PonyCon. As ever, a big part of this was catching up with friends I hadn't seen for a long time, especially at the pre-meet at the Roebuck on Friday night. The two names that people on here are most likely to know are Ghost Mike and hawthornbunny, but there were quite a few more -- including folks going for their first ever convention. One of us, one of us, etc.
I'd been meaning to put this up earlier, but well, better late than never.
Tomorrow and through Sunday, I'll be out of town - my dad and I are going to a convention over in Beckley. Dad's going to be vending a table there to try and sell some books.
Last things first! It's less than a month until Bronycon! Woo! I'm planning on wrapping up my current Mente Materia story arc during the convention, or hopefully before it! My next chapter is about 75% done and I'm hoping to have it published by Monday! After that, only two more chapters (one and a half, really) before this chapter arc is finished. Then I'll get to announce something exciting!
On to other things!
Good Evening everypony! It's snowy down here where I live, so it's a perfect night to curl up and read some quality pony fiction!
As a reminder, we've got the Everfree NW Scribblefest 2017 running! Check this out for the details! As always, we've got a little bit of everything for you this lovely Sunday evening!
This weekend, I will be at UK PonyCon in Leeds. I'm greatly looking forward to it, as I loved the con last year. However, it does mean I won't be around on here much. Don't expect my summary review of the finale until early next week. (I've already seen it thanks to Tiny Pop, so that aspect is taken care of.) Everything else around here should continue roughly as it usually does.
That's an academy record! All right, the VIP tickets were in pretty limited supply (35, I believe), but I'm still startled at them selling out in April for a convention that isn't until October. According to the con committee, there are still plenty of standard tickets available, but at the rate things are going they won't last until October either! At any rate, as BUCK fades into history it's really good to see the demand there still is for pony cons in the UK.
It's pony convention time this weekend! Babscon's fanfic programming has historically been meh — there wasn't a single panel the first year, though they've gotten better, and this year's panels show some promise — but as a San Francisco convention it's very west-coast central, and (more importantly) it's close enough for me to make.
POST EDITED WITH NEW DETAILS
Not quite an awesome blog post for my #100, but needs must.
Currently the odds of me attending Galacon 2018 (on the 28th and 29th of July, Ludwigsburg, a, I am reliably informed, gemütlich little town just north of Stuttgart) hover around 90%. 98%. The 10% 2% breaks down to:
For the fourth year in a row, the largest British MLP convention, UK PonyCon, has completely sold out of tickets. That's despite using larger venues each year -- this time will see 1,000 attendees. Only BUCK has ever before reached four figures in the UK fandom, so it's quite an achievement. I have my ticket, so with lots of luck and a following wind, I'll be there in October. Hooves crossed!
In twelve hours, I shall be on a flying machine, en-route to Baltimore.
I should probably sleep some before then.
But until then, a blog post!
The people at UK PonyCon have announced that under 5% of the Saturday tickets for the convention remain -- so this is definitely your last chance! (Weekend, Sunday and stallholder tickets have already sold out.)
Alas, it's the final day of Fan Fusion, the shortest day of all, as it goes from 9-5 instead of 9-11:30 (to 2 am for some events) and though I didn't take so many cosplayer pics like before, mostly because I was busy getting myself some nice stuff, here's the few I took pictures of.

It's one state away. I've never been to a Con. I'd like to go to this one.
I'll post an update here once I get my plans finalized. Any of y'all going to this Con?
I will make sure all my friends are protected.
After taking this picture, I scolded Rarity and Twilight for not social distancing.
So I'm currently chilling out at Ciderfest. If anyone is also there and feels like saying hi, your welcome to.
Post-con blogs are weird, how do I even do this lol
I had a lot of fun, for it being my first con ever! Got a lot of cool merch, attended a few interesting panels (including Iron Authors; unfortunately I had to miss the awards ceremony because of my flight), and even met up with a few of my EoJ crew. The highlight probably has to be being able to meet some of the fans who influenced me as a kid - got me into pony and what not - and just being able to tell them that.
I was a little bit busy, so I forgot to share what I got from Fan Fusion.

The Friday even badge that I received as well (wish I had a friend to join me on that day)
I'll be leaving for Nottingham tomorrow morning and coming back on Monday afternoon or early evening. If by some miracle you're there and you see me and you recognise me and you want to, by all means say hello! Just bear in mind I have a terrible memory for people so you'll probably need to introduce yourself even if I've met you before. I'll be absent from Fimfiction for the most part, so any PMs will be seen when I get back. Off to Equestria! (Or as
Time to hit those keys and stopping moaping around. It does no one good. (unless your fluttershy then everyone hugs her, I know you do it for the hugs fluttershy!)
Too.. cute.. hrrg!
