Back from (some of) UK PonyCon · 8:06pm Oct 1st, 2023
Even though it was a shorter affair for me this year than usual, it was still great to get to Nottingham for UK PonyCon. As ever, a big part of this was catching up with friends I hadn't seen for a long time, especially at the pre-meet at the Roebuck on Friday night. The two names that people on here are most likely to know are Ghost Mike and hawthornbunny, but there were quite a few more -- including folks going for their first ever convention. One of us, one of us, etc.
I'll do a proper con report over on Louder Yay in the near future, but I had time to go to the opening ceremony, several events/panels (all enjoyable) and the VA script reading/Q&A session with Kelly Sheridan and Elley-Ray Hennessy. Missed the concert as it was after had to leave. Did a minimal amount of shopping due to £££ issues. Got rained on between the venue and the bus station at the end, which was a downer, but oh well. Until next year!
PS: Just seen that the charity total (Riding for the Disabled Association) was £11,710, which from memory can't be far off an all-time UKPC record.
Ooh glad you had fun n_n
Looking forward to the full report!

Thank you! Yeah, tinged with sadness that I had to limit myself both financially and time-wise, but still well worth it. I love UK PonyCon so much.

In a shocking break with tradition, I've actually got on with this and so the report will be up on Louder Yay tomorrow morning at 8 am UK time!
