Found this image courtesy of Reddit. It was too good not to share. :pinkiehappy:

Speaking a little more seriously though, it's interesting to look at this and compare/contrast the two characters' designs and the respective art styles of their shows.

    I Am Back

Hey everyone. I'm sorry for being so quiet these past few days, but Internet connections were pretty crappy at both the hotel and at the convention, so I figured I'd just save the big response for when I finally got home and unpacked.

    My First Convention

I'd been meaning to put this up earlier, but well, better late than never.

Tomorrow and through Sunday, I'll be out of town - my dad and I are going to a convention over in Beckley. Dad's going to be vending a table there to try and sell some books.

    Thoughts on Harakiri (1962)

Wow. This was a masterclass in buildup and tension. I knew about Masaki Kobayashi's movie before - a scathing indictment of the samurai and the honor code that they profess to live by - but all the same, watching the movie had me hooked from start to finish. :scootangel:

My First Convention · 3:53am April 26th

I'd been meaning to put this up earlier, but well, better late than never.

Tomorrow and through Sunday, I'll be out of town - my dad and I are going to a convention over in Beckley. Dad's going to be vending a table there to try and sell some books.

The convention is called "Causeacon". It's kind of a general pop culture fest from what I'm told, as there's no overt "theme" for the whole place. There's vendors, game rooms, some bands booked, and two special guests: one of which is Britt Baron, and the other one is Sean Patrick Flannery.

I dunno how well or how poorly Dad's book-selling effort might go, but I'm hoping that there'll at least be some good times had in this trip. Fingers crossed, eh?

Cool! ^^

Hope ya'll have fun at this con.

COOOOOL!

First convention, eh? Cool. And hey, Sean Patrick Flannery isn't too bad a guest. Hard to beat a young Indiana Jones.

Thanks, I can safely say that yes, I did. ^_^

Thanks, and yes, you said it. :yay:

Yep, my first con experience, and I have to say, it was pretty good all told! I didn't get to interact with the special guests, admittedly, but I did get to glimpse them at points (Britt Baron actually stopped by the stall next to our table to buy tea from the vendor there) and they seemed like pretty okay people. And you certainly make a good point; it IS hard to go wrong with a young Indiana Jones. :raritywink:
