It occurs me that I never mentioned this, but I'm doing Galacon again this year. Been like 2 years since I did a con... I'll post again nearer the date.

Well, crap, I can't make it, even though I'm right here in NRW, Germany..

So, to the delight of absolutely nobody except myself and my lovely wife, we will be at the Galacon this year. It will be the first time in a long while that I go to a con of any kind, and I'm quite excited, mostly for those I hope to meet. As for the con itself, I have really no plans aside from going there, attend the dance on Saturday night, have a beer with awesome people and, hopefully, survive.

Sending Estee to a pony convention on a continent with an active war and volcanoes. What's the worst that could happen? Let's find out.

Despite 42 degrees Celsius in Ludwigsburg (107 F), a city definitely not built with that kind of heat in mind, it was glorious. Definitely the best GalaCon so far. Even better, GalaCon 2020 is already confirmed. Didn't get to meet any new people (or people I know at all, actually), but the program was good enough to more than make up for that. Also great vendors and a fantastic party/gala Saturday evening.

Another year another galacon!

So last weekend I was at galacon again, met some new people and saw some good and some bad panels, also the charity auction was a thing for its own! Just saying, they auction off the hat of the auctioneer as kind of tradition every year, kind of a running gag, but this year they collected ca 7000€ just with it And 20k € total for animal protection. It was crazy but awesome at the same time.
