I didn't dislike it...but it certainly wasn't my favorite season premier in general. While there were quite a few good moments...idk...something about these new episodes seemed...off kinda...I can't really explain. Nonetheless I enjoyed them both. Can't wait for next week's episode.
Shatner. Good man. Trains horses, breeds dogs. The right kind of dogs.
There's that whole MLP season 7 thing too.
This was better than "Parental Glideance" -- and I loved "Parental Glideance". I don't think I've liked an episode as much as this on first viewing since... probably "A Hearth's Warming Tail". It was fantastic. Can't quite give it an out-and-out five because of one little niggle, but it still has the potential if it holds up on rewatching. ★★★★/★★★★★
More under the cut.
Lightning Dust: We haven't seen Lightning Dust since season 3 after she was kicked out of the Wonderbolt Academy. I was expecting and hoping for her to be the culprit in Rarity Investigates, only to be disappointed by Wind Rider. We don't know about Lightning Dust's backstory, nor do we know what happened after being kicked out of the academy. It would be interesting to see what would happen if she and Rainbow Dash crossed paths again.
As you all obviously know, the seventh season has come to an end today. Just to let you all know, I already saw snippets of the finale that were leaked last night. And I must say, it was kind of interesting to show that Starswirl the Bearded wasn't as pure like many believed, and while I bet many people who had the theory that he was a past regeneration of Doctor Whooves are a bit disappointed, the story was a clever way to dodge him being dead (perhaps they can use the same thing with

The rest of S7, the movie, the show bible and next week's lottery numbers have leaked, but on today's actual episode: it was great. Really tremendous fun. It's not going to win any Pulitzer Prizes, but for simple "having fun watching pastel ponies" it was hard to beat. And how did Hasbro keep that a surprise given all those leaks? ★★★★
It's finally here! The first sneak peek clip for Season 7 has arrived! Take a quick peek if you can't wait!
Be warned that this post will contain spoilers for the finale (which I have watched, but of which will also be covered with spoiler tags). Just a heads up.
That said, I thought I'd compile my thoughts on every single episode from season 7, all 26 of them. I'll be giving a sentence or two for each one summing up my feelings, as well as a grade out of 10. And remember, these really are short, so it's nothing in-depth or anything.
Simple, old-fashioned fun, and Pinkie in particular was amusing for most of the episode. It really did feel as though Josh Hamilton had to struggle a bit to make it fill 22 minutes, though. And what was that Rainbow Dash all about? ★★/★★★
Okay, the latest episode just added fuel to my headcanon about Maud having autism. From this episode, we learn that Maud has always had a hard time making friends, which is a struggle that many people with autism have. We also learn that Maud is actually pretty lonely even though she doesn’t always express it. This is also something that people with autism deal with. Furthermore, Starlight explicitly describes Maud as “weird” and “sees the world in a totally different way,” descriptions
Like many people, I was rather dreading a rehash of "Baby Cakes". Like many people, I'm happy to be wrong. I didn't think it was amazing, but it did have one punch-the-air moment (featuring a book) and one that came close (featuring Cheerilee). Cadance and Shining Armor were adorable throughout, and Flurry... didn't make me want to throw rocks at her, which is a step up from "The Crystalling". I hate shopping trolley (I know, "cart" to you Leftpondians) racing, though, as long ago
The following was written up as a reply to this blog post by FoME, but by the time I finished typing up the following rant, I realized it pretty much needed to be posted as its own separate blog.
The following is a long-winded, ranty analysis of why William Shatner has the reputation he has, and why people need to remember that yes, he IS actually an actor.
Okay guys, the season 7 premiere was not to long ago. My thoughts...It was awesome!!
The first episode was very interesting. you see Twilight grapple with how Starlight should move on and you see Celesita go through the same struggles back when she had to let go of Twilight. And the ending to that episode was pretty good. I'm glad Starlight is staying because I like her and I would love to see her develop more as a character.
