What I Hope to See in Season 7 · 3:04am Jan 6th, 2017
Lightning Dust: We haven't seen Lightning Dust since season 3 after she was kicked out of the Wonderbolt Academy. I was expecting and hoping for her to be the culprit in Rarity Investigates, only to be disappointed by Wind Rider. We don't know about Lightning Dust's backstory, nor do we know what happened after being kicked out of the academy. It would be interesting to see what would happen if she and Rainbow Dash crossed paths again.
Rainbow Dash's Family: We've seen the families of most of the Mane Six. We know Fluttershy's parents and brother, we know Pinkie Pie's sisters and parents, we know Rarity's parents and sister, we know much of the Apple family and that Applejack's parents are, in fact, dead, and we know Twilight's parents, brother, sister-in-law, and niece. We have not, however, know anything about Rainbow Dash's family. There was that flashback from "Games Ponies Play", where Rainbow Dash was standing on the back of a rainbow maned stallion that looks a lot like her. Many people thought he was her father, but the show staff denied this and did not give any more information. Rainbow Dash is the only character whose family we have yet to meet, so I hope that we do in season 7.
Zecora: Zecora didn't have any speaking roles in season 6, so it would be fair to give her some in season 7. Maybe, there could be an episode where we learn about Zecora's backstory and why she only talks in rhyme and/or perhaps zebra culture in general.
These are some pretty good ideas! I too am hoping for Lightning Dust, but also to team up with Wind Rider to go against the Wonderbolts! As for your Rainbow's family idea, yes pls! Not just her though - I wanna see Scootaloo's family even more, and Spike's! But yeah, Rainbow too, cause why not? I couldn't agree more with Zecora! As the seasons go by, she's been becoming less and less important to the point where she's just a BG zebra. Zecora, like Spike, is such an interesting character that needs to be known more about her origins, and her homeland! Other than Zecora we haven't seen a single zebra, and it would be really nice to see, at least before the show is over!
