Continuing my discussion of the particle physics in Daring Do and the Inexplicable Artifact. If you haven’t read the story yet, do so now.
GMBlackjack has now published a pony particle physics story I commissioned. Check out Daring Do and the Inexplicable Artifact. An A.K. Yearling adventure in which our pegasus hero discovers a mysterious object that appears to be shooting some sort of beam, but while it is evidently drawing a lot of power, it appears to have no effect whatsoever on anything in its path. Daring enlists the help of

Rainbow Dash: I'm talkin' rainbow lasers!
Sunset Shimmer: Is that a thing?
Fascinating question...
The Equestrian military instructor stared at the class in front of him. Each pony completely focussed on his instruction. These were no young cadets, but soldiers with experience enough to know that missing a single detail could cost them their life. They had served on the Northern Front when Sombra had attacked the pass. Unable to withstand the onslaught they had been forced to retreat as the Crystal Army had swept into Equestria. Sombra’s army had control over half the country and the Royal
“Isn't this exciting? Are you excited? 'Cause I'm excited. It's been such a long time we've had to wait for this, and now this weekend it's finally restarting after a long break and we can look forward to so much exciting new cool stuff. I've never been so excited, well, except for the time that I...”

Apologies for not posting anything last week. I have been busy. I was in the US last week, visiting Fermilab, which was really cool, but I then had a ton of work to catch up on when I got home.
And I had to watch my new Rainbow Rocks DVD.
My verdict: It's awesome. The post-credits ending makes it 200% cooler. I particularly loved the reference to Maxwell's equations.
Did you miss it? It's here:
Evenin', all.
First up, have this comic, which is the only result on derpibooru when I searched for "Soarin'" and "Duck":

What would a changeling wear for nightmare night? Would they chose to dress up as a scary fanged bug-eyed monster? Or would they prefer a Starswirl the Bearded outfit? Given that their traditional lifestyle involves pretending to be something else in order to extract love from others, maybe they prefer to take the night off and sit back giggling at the amateur antics of costumed fillies and colts extorting candy from the grown-ups.
It must be time for me to write another particle physics blog post, telling a story from the quest to find new scientific phenomena and resolve the mysteries of the universe. With pictures of ponies. So here we go. Prepare to learn all about Lepton Flavour Universality. To enhance your blog reading experience, first go and get a smoothie.
Are you ready?
Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie lay on the grass in the middle of a field of reclaimed prairie on the site of the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, together with a group of the resident buffalo with whom they had just made friends. In the distance they could see the distinctive shape of the high-rise laboratory building of Wilson Hall.
Here’s a game for physics and G5 pony nerds: look at the shadows in the film and identify evidence to support one of two theories:
Because everypony loves a mystery!
Sunny: Okay everypony! I know you’ve all been waiting for me to teach you the moves for the neutrino dance I choreographed for us!
Izzy: What’s a neutrino dance?

I plan on sending out invoices later this week, so don't delay! I need to put in my order soon so that it will be ready in time for Ciderfest.
Thanks!

Hello everyone! been a while since I last posted something here but I've been working on something in the background, namely, a physical edition of Data Lost! I've always wanted to have something I wrote in pshysical media and I'm proud enough of Data Lost that that's the one I chose to do it with.
Just going to leave a link to a vulgarity-laced but very insightful rant on the biomechanics of horses. It's up to you how much of this applies to little ponies, but the evolutionarily imposed anxiety certainly explains a few things.
It was a beautiful sunny day. The sky above Ponyville was a perfect photogenic image of fluffy white clouds against a blue background, with a touch of brighter coloring where a pegasus tail or two was visible hanging out of a cloud.
In these dark and divisive times, can I avoid controversy and blog about something light-hearted?
