How many of you prefer reading from a good old-fashioned paperback book? Despite the amount that I read online, actual books are still my preferred format, and it's the same for many other people. That's why A Different Perspective is now available in paperback format! It even includes all the illustrations, although sadly only in greyscale.
It took way too long, but I received the proof copy of the paperback version of Quantum Gallop today, and it looks fantastic! Big too! 550 pages big.

Have you been enjoying the adventures (and misadventures) of Mark Wells? Why not read it again it again, but this time on a device guaranteed not to lose your data and is completely DRM-free! Consisting of hundreds of sheets of pulped wood with the words rendered with a black medium, it's sure to catch on. I wanted to call it a "woodpage", but someone else thought "paperback" was catchier. I dunno. What do you think?

Hey folks! I know, I know, you haven’t heard much from me lately. This week saw a Being a Better Writer post on Saturday, and that was it until now. But … I’ve had good reason.
Starforge is in the last five percent. Yes. It’s that close. So I’ve been just a little occupied. There’s a chance that maybe even next week it might be done. I’d be pumping out a lot of words a day, but there’s still a chance.
I will be attending Anthrocon this year as a dealer, selling my paperback books. A limited number of copies of Cosmic Lotus will also be available for sale. Autographed if you wish!
Next year, I plan to go to a pony convention of some kind. I don't know whether I'll be a dealer though because I might want to be having fun instead.

So, as most of you know, Memoirs of a Magic Earth Pony was updated last week with a chapter called 'conclusions'. The story isn't finished, but the first volume is. There are a lot of questions that are unanswered, but that's 70 thousand words of Starswirl's angsty teen years.

See, Amazon has a bunch of tools you need to satisfy in order to print a book. Straightforward enough … save that one of them is, well … a little broken. To be specific, their cover program.

Despite the popularity of digital productions, some people still prefer to read stories on real books. I've published several of my own in paperback form, and now there's a new omnibus edition that collects my first three pony novels – "Change of Life", "Growing Up Dandy", and "Conversations in a Canterlot Café". As a bonus, the short story – "The Best Present" has been included in the new paperback book – "Change of Heart".

Of course, one of the largest projects questing after my time was the Axtara – Banking and Paperback release, but if you’ve been following the site, you know that … that was this week!
We understand: Shadow of an Empire can be a daunting prospect for a reader. A nine-hundred-plus page book? In paperback? Is it even worth the money? The reviews say yes, but folks don’t always trust reviews. They’d like to experience what’s between the pages themselves.
