FUCK YOU, WRITER'S BLOCK!! YOU HAVE NO POWER HERE!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahahaheheheheh....heh...
Yep, Ladies and Gents, I have beaten back the terrible writer's block! At least for now.
Over the weekend, I was able to complete one of my stories (until my editor suggested a possible extension), get some work done on AR2 stuff, but most importantly...
I FINISHED DRAFTING THE ENTIRE PLOTLINE OF HLW!!!
SunLight
AppleDash
RariShy
ShyLight
DashLight
Shadence
StarTrix
RariJack
FlutterCord is fast climbing the ladder.
However, While these are ships I like and will write, here are some that I will write but don't understand fully:
TwiLestia/TwiLuna - This bears really close to incest for me, since I think Twilight views Celestia as almost a second mother and Luna then falls into the Aunt Category. I'll write it as a request, but it won't ever be canon with my Homecoming Continuity.
Until a few months ago I tried to maintain a cadaence of releasing one story per month. My decision to refocus on To Serve In Hell, and the arrival of Baby Wubs, kinda changed that (for now). But for a long time there, I managed to do it.
Picture this, if you will, for a moment. Imagine a young man, an author. Well, a writer who has just recently become an author, having successfully published his first book. He's just been invited to a big convention, where to his excitement, he will be on a panel alongside some of fantasy's greats in writing (if I'm being sparse on details here, forgive me as I don't remember all of them).
Hello everyone! While I was writing the other day, I curiously thought of the fair share of the story's likes and dislikes, and I think the best way to approach this is to personally ask a detailed criticism from each of my readers. If I could take a little bit of everyone's time to provide their own detailed criticism, that'd be be much appreciated.
Extra Credits is a great Youtube series. In fact, at one point, they were even featured on my Links page. I tend to rotate things there from time to time, and maybe I should be giving them another go.
Welcome back to another Classic Being a Better Writer post! For those of you who are unfamiliar with these posts, they're essentially recall posts that look back on old BaBW posts and link to them for those newcomers who may have never seen them when they originated. BaBW has a pretty big backlog of articles, and with me having a goal of adding 4000+ words daily to my current book project (Jungle at the moment), Classic throwback posts can be a good way to
Welcome back, readers! It’s Monday, and you know what that means! Time for Being a Better Writer!
EDIT: Really quick: If you're in the Hunter/Hunted as-posted Alpha, it's up to three or four chapters now! Remember to check often!
Welcome back readers!
Today's Being a Better Writer post is brought you from my site! The complete experience!
Today is Pioneer Day in the state I live in, a day when everyone celebrates the forward-looking, pioneer spirit of the old west that sent so many explorers forth. And I thought "You know, I can make a Being a Better Writer post out of that."
It's a blog! It's an article! No ... it's a REPOST!
It's time for another Classic Being a Better Writer post!
Hopefully this will be a short one. After the longer-than-average posts the last few weeks, I’d like to get a quicker, shorter Being a Better Writer post in so I can jump back to closing up Jungle once and for all!
Welcome back readers! Ready for more Being a Better Writer? I am! And with one of the more requested topics of the last few months. But first ...
That's right, it's time for the news. Two things to discuss, snap-quick, and then we'll be on to the post.
…I have two Sunset Shimmer stories up on this site right now, both of which involve her going through what more well-adjusted people would describe as a mental breakdown (though beyond that, the works are very different).
They also happen to be my two most popular stories to date.
What does that say about me? What does it say about my readers?
Alright the new chapter is coming along, but it introduces something important, the fact there are two factions so far. Equestria's and Equestria's enemies. Every character falls into one of these categories, some are from a present nation that is against Equestria, others from past enemies and some from future enemies. That said before I accept characters, I need to know several things.

Okay then, its been a long time, but I've finally begun to take my first steps towards becoming a full time writer. Well, okay, I guess all the writing I've done over the years were, technically, the first steps. But thanks to a really good opportunity, I've finally found myself with the chance to dedicate myself fully to writing, as more than just a fun hobby but as a actual job. It's a huge risk, and I don't know if I'll be able to make it yet. But I know if I don't try it now, I may never
My unceremonious return is heralded by the call of a Science Fiction contest! I thought it'd be fun to participate, so I'm here polishing up the last few chapters of my new 6 Chapter fic Victory: Premonitions, in the hope of bringing my rusty skills up to snuff for some much bigger projects yet to be released! It's been a bit harder than I anticipated, as the super-condensed nature of a 20 thousand word fic has proven to be quite the creative restriction, but I've really been liking the
I'm excited to be making progress on actually posting this thing. This whole project has been very exciting. I'm not sure if the Mature rating will stick. I've always had a bad relationship with these online self-rating systems. I'd much prefer an "in progress" rating that was the functional equivalent of shrugging your shoulders and seeing where things go. As it stands, part of me wants to tone down the later chapters and re-concept the scope into something with less adult themes. I'm not
