Getting up for work this morning was a bit rough, even three days after my return from Vegas and the three-hour time difference from there to here.

American. The Music Corporation of America was founded in 1924, as a booking agency, by Jules Stern. It began issuing records in 1962, when it bought the US branch of Decca, which included the Coral and Brunswick labels; it brought all three together in 1973, under the MCA name. More acquisitions followed: the ABC group in 1979; Chess in 1985; and Motown in 1988 (though they sold it on in 1993). In 1995 MCA itself was bought, by the Seagram company. Seagram dropped the MCA name,
This album is my baby. I've worked on it all by myself, composing everything, writing the music down along with the lyrics. Bear in mind this is an instrumental demo of the progress made so far. It isn't done yet, and won't be until I can find the time to work on it properly. I sincerely hope you like what you hear! I'd be more than grateful for you support.
Lyrics:
To the dark dark seas
Comes the only whale
Watching ships go by
It's the day we try
It doesn't know
It's a Casio on a plastic beach
It's a Casio on a plastic beach
It's a Styrofoam deep sea landfill
It's a Styrofoam deep sea landfill
It's automated computer speech
It's automated computer speech
It's a Casio on a plastic beach
It's a Casio
If they hold you, whale
After a Whitney-laced 1987, 1988 was a relatively quiet year for Arista. Tommy Mottola attempted to keep Hall and Oates under contract when their RCA obligation ran out, so Hall and Oates did the inverse of what Barry Manilow had done in 1985 (he himself did the inverse in '87) and their first album for the label, Ooh Yeah!, included the hits "Everything Your Heart Desires" (#3 in May—their last to make the Top 10), "Missed Opportunity", and "Downtown Life". [Dan Reynolds & Sam Harris:]
I torture you
Take my hand through the flames
I torture you
I'm a slave to your games
I'm just a sucker for pain
I wanna chain you up
I wanna tie you down
I'm just a sucker for pain
[Ty Dolla $ign:]
I'm a sucker for pain
I got the squad tatted on me from my neck to my ankles
Pressure from the man got us all in rebellion
We gon' go to war, yeah, without failure
Melanie Martinez is such a pure genius! Conceptualizing a film that is also her second album speaks volumes of her phenomenal artistry and creativity.
It will be followed by a 7-song EP called After School which is attached to the K-12 era and each song will have a music video.
She also plans on making two more films along with the corresponding albums.
