Recently, I realized that I needed to get some art for the less noble side of Set Sail. Our main villain has existed for years now as nothing more than words on a page and ideas in my head, but now we've got photographic evidence that he exists!

I just finished my once-every-couple-of-years replay of the entire Mass Effect trilogy. This playthrough really got me thinking about difficulty levels.
Hey guys! It's currently super duper late but I have news! Tomorrow marks four months to the day since Chapter 9 dropped. Four months is far too long between updates. How about three months and 29 days?

The editing process has been a little bit drawn out this time thanks to IRL schedules, but I think we're pretty much done! Only a few more tweaks may be needed before it's ready to hit the site. Barring any major revelations of problems, it will release on Tuesday!

I have no idea how Diamond turned out so pretty, but here we are. I haven't stopped staring at this picture for hours. Yet again, I have created a character that I'm falling head over heels in love with. This is turning into a pattern, isn't it? I can't wait to write more scenes with her in them!

Welcome back, readers! It’s Monday once again, and that means it is time for another Being a Better Writer post! But first, a bit of background.
Even though no fantasy metals have been named in the series proper, to my best recollection, there are still some metals from fantasy settings that do pop up in fan works, while not always being outright named. While metals like Iron, Steel, Gold, and Silver are all real world metals and are shown or inferred to exist within MLP FiM there are other metals that some fans have implied could exist in the world of the series as well, I haven't found any immediate examples to use but I am quite sure
So, I have an idea for a story that takes place after a solarpunk society collapses. Just to be clear I don't think the utopian "Solarpunk" isn't really punk, so this in this case, it was actually a dystopian society powered by solar energy. There is also a bit of a Biopunk element as the elite would use genetics to mutate and enslave the lower class (which ultimately backfired).

I'm currently in the death spiral of a high-level summer math course. Partial Differential Equations. In 4 weeks. Online.
Honestly, it's not as bad as I thought it would be. The professor is solid and understandable, but the material is a bit of a mind-bender. That, of course, has been slowing progress on the writing front.

Today’s post grew out of another potential topic, but felt better suited to the aim of Being a Better Writer as a whole, IE that of improving the writing capabilities of those who follow Being a Better Writer.

Remember that amplifier find I got from a recycling plant? It was still in working order, but was a bit trashed and well-used. (Either that or the person who owned it before I did was a mucky minger.) I fixed it up and I bought a guitar to go with it, explicitly for home use. I should also point out, before anybody mentions about it, that the guitar is a lefty, but it's been restrung so I can play it as a righty.
