Space Jam, is, in all honesty, a film that could have only ever been made in the mid-90s. Like, it's actually really difficult to put into words. In a way, it feels as if it's the entire first half of the ninetes got distilled into a single film.
I mentioned this in an earlier blog, but I wrote a new Twiluna prompt to help break up my Writer's Block.
It's up. Go read it.
Stay classy.

Back when Lola made her debut in Space Jam, her outfit consisted of a crop top and short shorts. A lot of male characters were simping for her because of her physical attributes such as well-defined breasts, midriff, and curves.

Well, the New Year is almost upon us, and we can only hope next year will be very productive.
For now though, I'm just going to post my favorite remixes of the Space Jam theme song. Not for any special reason, but just because boredom sets in easy around here.
Snatched up an EO Jam Session deck from Target. Only one they had. No 5th wave boosters though. :( I also realized that I probably should have just bought the high magic 2 deck starter set off amazon so that I could rope my husband into playing with me. Obvs can't play by myself, and the local brony meetup group always gets together when I can't friggin' go. *shakes fist*
Ah well. Budgeting is fun kids. Don't be poor and impulsive like me
It's NSFW, so I can link it here, but you can find it under my artist tag. Or with this: 1679266
Otherwise, just as a general update, I feel like death warmed over today. I am very tired and very much in pain. But I'm going to try to get some words down before I head out to Uber like my life depends on it. The next Beanis fic is like...90% done? So that should drop real soon.
Stay not disabled, kids.

Here's a new one for you: Toadette of the Mario franchise. See, she was playable in Captain Toad, and was just as capable as her male counterpart. But Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam on the 3DS takes it to a whole new level. In that game, she's not playable, but she does single-handedly engineer multiple giant, weaponized papercrafts for you. One of which can shoot fireballs. If that doesn't paint her as the most intelligent Nintendo character in recent memory, than I don't know what does. Food
My new morning kickstart! Freaking love this song!
Anywho, I've decided to get back on MoE and HG. I will also be doing a new fix fairly soon, but I'll let you vote: cyberpunk or superhero? Your choice, but I want to focus on one, so let me know which one you're more eager to see.
That's it for now. As always, stay awesome, all!

I watched it last night and it left me with conflicting feelings after reading the critical reviews that are mostly negative. Here's a list of the parts that I like and don't like.
Redeeming Qualities
1. Visually appealing CGI
2. No one called Lola Bunny "doll" and she was treated as an equal
3. Lit and awesome soundtrack
4. Don Cheadle's antagonistic role
5. A lesson about being your true self and pursuing something that brings you joy

I figured you'd be interested in some of the songs that touched on certain nerves in me for the Act II finale. Warning: they're all a bit odd in their own way.
For the parts about Babs' birth parents and their ill-fated romance (which you will soon find out about in full), this song always came to mind:
Cameo doesn't strike me as a Madonna type, but for some reason this song is like her leitmotif...
It has been reported that Pepe Le Pew will not make an appearance in Space Jam: A New Legacy. I've been critical about his characterization and antics for several years, so for this to come to fruition is music to my ears. A symbolization of sexual harassment and rape culture like him is no longer fit in today's climate.
Additionally, Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam no longer carry guns in response to gun violence in the US.

So, I recently finished a story that seemed... odd to me. The story in question is Clean Slate by Alaborn, and I feel like there was something that deserves discussion. Consider this a review that I am by no means qualified to give.
