Welcome back, Team Sonic.
Also, Spoilers.
With the release of the PC version, I feel it's now appropriate to talk about Sonic Mania. I've been playing it since my Collector's Edition shipped on its release... and I basically completed everything in one sitting. Now here comes a lengthy blog where I just gush about everything I love about it.
Trying something new here today. It used to be, back when I was transferring over posts from my old blog to this site, that Thursday or Friday would be home to a Blast from the Past post—essentially an excuse to go back to one of the old Being a Better Writer posts that wasn't on Unusual Things yet and transfer it over (albeit with a little editing). Those posts ran for a little over year, if memory serves, but inevitably had to stop, as I caught up with the present day.
This is the best adaptation of Frankenstein ever made.
Rating Scale:
12/10—a complete masterpiece; flawless and outstanding
11/10—Excellent, near-perfect film
10/10—the standard rating; awesome film with a couple of flaws
9/10—a wonderful film with several flaws
8/10–a great film with numerous flaws but not enough to ruin it
Target Novelizations. Yes, you read that right. Starting in 1973, Target Books began publishing novelizations of Classic Who serials, and continued to do so into the 1990s.
Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,
In case you didn't catch it, there's a new one shot that takes place in the same universe as the Harmonic series. Taking place after "My Name is Harmonic" and before the events of "Symphony of Life," this one shot takes a look into the thoughts of the violinist during his way of relaxation.
VHS tapes (yes, got more from that box)
THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD, which was opened from the bottom. In the update video you will be seeing soon, I get the rest of the shrink wrap off. It's a CBS Fox release from 1984; it has no print date.
Welcome, readers, to a returning feature: Being a Better Writer- Classic Edition!
Got a friend who has just gotten into ponies and the fandom. I've been introducing her to music, video and art, but so far no fanfiction. I have put together a list of the stuff that I really like and think is among the best in the fandom; but along side that, I'm also looking for recommendations for the perennial classics. Stories that have been around a while, that are well-known, that have become a substantial part of the fanon "extended universe" if you will. Iconic stories. Mind you,

Well i've done it again. Here's another dramatic reading of a classic poem. One of my favorites actually, "Politics" by William Buttler Yeats!
Let me know what you think in the comments section below.
without any further a due, here you go.
Well Ali Baba had them forty thieves
Scheherezade had a thousand tales
But master you in luck 'cause up your sleeves
You got a brand of magic never fails
You got some power in your corner now
Some heavy ammunition in your camp
You got some punch, pizzaz, yahoo and how
See all you gotta do is rub that lamp
And I'll say
Mister Aladdin, sir
What will your pleasure be?
Let me take your order
Jot it down
Completely unexpected, by this point, but this post is a mirror of one found on my site!
It. Is. Time …
Original Release Date: December 11th, 1992
