Hello my lovely readers! Today we have the first little mini-episode for you. Or Short Trek, if you prefer to call it that. These are little teeny insights into various characters that we wouldn’t get to see from Sunset or Twilight’s perspective. Sometimes our protagonists will be involved, and sometimes not, and even when they are, it’s never their point of view we’re seeing.
It all starts to fall into place in this chapter, so come get it while it's hot! Also, enjoy the extra 1000 or so words since I was getting WAY too into this chapter and let my muse run away with me! Don't forget to comment and like, and enjoy!

#1: As I've stated previously, I do most of my work on the story at my office. Business has picked up some, which has given me less time to write than I'd hoped.

As of yesterday, I thought that the best way to come back to writing (almost) full time again, was to do it spectacularly by writing for a contest.
With chapter 5 we do some checking in, mostly setting the stage for what comes next. I'm looking forward to getting to the next chapter as that is where one of my major ideas behind this story makes itself prominent. Hello again my lovely readers! Yes, it's time for another episode update.
Apologies for the lack of blog post on the last update. You see, it's been a very busy time for me at work, which has left me with not a lot of time to do... much of anything, especially focus on writing Phoenix. I won't mince words: progress has been a lot slower than I would like. I'm barely keeping ahead whereas previously we had up to a five episode buffer.
I've been busy this week. IRL stuff sucks. Errands, family drama, the whole nine yards. Just wanted to let you all know I'm still here.
Fics are going to update more sporadically now, since my schedule is crazy.

Chapter five of Legend of Lee Roy is done (actually done for awhile now) all it needs is editing, lots and lots of editing.
I will be making quality of life changes to the other four chapters I really want these chapters to be perfect. I feel like I tell to much in my stories I need to show more.
First off I would like to tell you all that I appreciate your support of Illuminate the Shadows up until now. I honestly am extremely happy at the positive regard this story has been given! It's the first time anything I wrote has been so well loved, and I find myself thankful every day for you all.
I can already hear the thoughts of my readers: There are pieces of info missing from this chapter. And you are right. It is extremely deliberate as an encryption key is useless without the file or program it belongs to. The next chapter will drop on Halloween and will connect to 14 like a puzzle piece, to reveal the truth. Just as a teaser for my readers to consider: the title of the chapter will be Ransomware; and will solve a riddle buried in Encryption Key.
