Sassy Chapter Excerpt
A dull throb in her chest broke Sassy’s concentration. She shifted in the chair, leaned forward, then slowly rotated her left shoulder a few times. The motion was impeded by her tight armor and an almost sticky feeling in the joint, not to mention a burning line of discomfort that worked its way down the left side of her spine.
Moosetasm
I’m glad you asked!
Note the two lovely words on the right.
I HAVE FINISHED A COMPLETE END-TO-END DRAFT OF TO SERVE IN HELL!!!
I MAY ALSO BE BULLISH ON HEAVY METAL AND CAPS LOCK RIGHT NOW
I'm a winner! NaNoWriMo says so, anyway.
Guys I’m insanely behind on everything that isn’t To Serve In Hell at this point (PMs/feed/Writeoff/Flashfic/etc), but that at least is still flowing at a good rate. I’m definitely on-target to write 50,000 words of it this month. I’m less sure if that’ll be the true “end” but it should be close. Thanksgiving is going to be the monkey wrench it always is, but I feel like I’m over the hump and the homestretch is in sight.
Evening, folks! I'm now a week into working on To Serve In Hell as part of NaNoWriMo. I'm a bit behind on target wordcount by date, but I feel good about what's been written thus far. Good enough in fact to bust out this old clunker:
Something something great again
DATELINE: the American Midwest. An innocent man struggles to find parking in Local Biggish City, child in tow, wife waiting at home--and all feeling desperate. Back home, the fridge is empty, save for leftovers of dubious vintage; and the pantry is that curious mix of stuffed-to-the-gills yet containing absolutely nothing. To make matters worse, he is ill, and has taken to wearing one of those uncomfortable blue mask thingies for the good of his fellow man.
I recently realized that an old enemy of mine had returned. Each time Baby Wubs has ended up in the hospital over the last year, it's crept in a bit more. I should've seen it coming, but I didn't.
That enemy is anxiety.
It's starting to look like I'll be able to hit Ponyville Ciderfest later this year! That's not all that's going on, though.
A solid plan, especially of late
++ Update: We got out after all, and we did a crazy no-stops drive home overnight, and we're home. Victory!!!++
Well folks, it's been a heck of a June. Or as we're calling it around Coffee Central, month-where-Ireland-happened-then-suddenly-over. Like seriously, I keep thinking it's the 15th or something... but no, month's basically over. It took us 2+ weeks to get back into the swing of things. I'm running late on everything.
Which brings us to some good news and some bad news.
First order of business: To Serve In Hell chapter 11 is on final approach. It might slip to 6/2 because there's a bit at the end that I need to re-work following some late feedback on it, and my free time tonight and tomorrow is spotty for reasons that will soon be apparent. But it's for the best, really it is. Gotta ask for trust on that one.
Next order of business: I might not be around much for the next couple of weeks, cuz I'mma be in Ireland.
I'm running out of Hell puns, guys. How am I going to manage through the next 27 chapters of To Serve In Hell?
How many chapters, darling?
I tagged this with To Serve In Hell. We'll get there in a minute. First let's talk Heavy Rock, which is about 18 hours away from hitting the auto-submit queue.
Rarity is perfectly capable of waiting her turn
