Well, folks... I promised a graphics teaser for the new Firefly chapter, so here it is:
And very heavily guest-written. There will be one section by me, one by AJ_Aficionado, and one by Denim_Blue, each highlighting a different race/faction who will shortly have to choose sides in the war. And since I can't resist despite earlier saying there wouldn't be one, here's a teaser...

...Pink is a shade of red right? so Pinkie should count!
Have some Cloud Chaser (aka Storm Walker) as well!
I love this horse, I can't stop looking at her, please! SEND HELP!!!
In a different note, what did you thought about the movie?
Not quite a record time for turning out a new chapter, but close. Weighing in at around 8500 words, it was a scene and sequence I'd been wanting to do for a very long time, and certainly one I'd been hyping here for quite a while. There will be no teaser, and it's possible it will released tonight as I get prereads in and edits finished. Just need some additional music selections, and we're good to go!
щекотно. So, someone translated Ticklish into Russian with some help from one Nuclear Pony Jack.
Just something that I thought was pretty cool.
With the latest chapter more than half-done, I'm currently projecting a Thanksgiving-ish release (Thursday, November 28th for the non-American readers) for when you want relief from family or are otherwise immobilized by too much turkey and trimmings.
And that means it's time for an old promise to be kept. I don't recall when I made it, but it was suggested by a commenter or two a year or two ago that the story be turned into an actual book. I said I would if and when it hit 300 likes, and here we are!
New Flight of Firefly chapter now at 14k words and with another 2-3k words to go. I have major momentum on it now after struggling with it for some time, as it's finally taking shape and being fleshed out. For those who know me on Skype, I'm mostly unavailable until I finish this. Best guess at this point is it'll be draft complete tomorrow and released within a couple days after, once prereaders have given it a thorough check and thumbs-up.
Pipp: Ziiiiiiiiiiipp?
Zipp: Uh, yeah?
Sunny: *internally* I ship it.
Ah, it's November. The peak of Fall. When all the leaves turn colors and start to fall from their boughs, and when we all gather around our tables to share feasts with our families.
Well apparently April didn't get the memo. Because we just got hit with a huge storm thanks to the El Niño blowing through. Turns out that the end of Autumn is a good time to go for a swim too!
You can find it at the bottom of the page, and my response in the comments. Give it a read!

Tentatively titled “Spoiling Strike”, it’s been very well-received by prereaders to this point, but I’m having a horrible time with the second combat section involving Kaval/Gaius, and if’s not finished to satisfaction by September 1st, I’ll release the chapter without it.
Tentatively titled Answers, it's coming quickly now, and will likely release well before September 1st. Which is fine, because that means the second chapter can be reserved for the anniversary of the story's launch. Expect no combat in this chapter but its aftermath, and a tearjerker scene or two including another harmony-fueled song inspired by a certain famous fantasy series.
A teaser was promised. And so it is delivered:
Target release date is Sunday, September 30th. What to expect? No major battles this time, as I think we need a break from them, but we'll get into the aftermath of the raids, including the gryphon search for the mole at Raptor, a parley at Epsilon, a check-in with Royal Navy Battle Group Four, another meeting with Sky Sentry, and... a song.
Chapter Eight of "A Tempest Tossed" is now up and ready for reading!
Please enjoy. :)

As Silverblade5 pointed out, the duel between Gavian and Thunderbolt lasted considerably longer than five minutes. And though it's tempting to say that this simply happened on DBZ time, using their definition of five minutes (where it lasts eight episodes), I won't.
When Desert Storm first encountered Mardissa Granthis, she wasn't particularly friendly.
I commissioned 1Jaz for this one. His mechanical details are top-notch!

Even after I'd been doubting I could finish the new Firefly chapter and asked others for help, it turned out I didn't need it--it wasn’t easy as the tactics and battle progression were still giving me fits, but I felt my way forward and finally found the path, grinding through the remaining 3000 words of the new chapter yesterday to complete the initial draft, to good reviews along with some suggestions for enhancements and elaborations from my prereaders.
