Entries for Round I are now closed. Here are the submissions:

Entry 1: Human in Equestria any% speedrun (kill Celestia ending)

THuman in Equestria any% speedrun (kill Celestia ending)
Will PonyRunner420 crumble under the pressure of one frame tricks, uninvited couch commentators, and suspiciously self-aware NPCs, or will he successfully kill Celestia in record time?
Anti-Tachyon · 14k words  ·  681  14 · 5.8k views
  • Submitter: SparklingTwilight
  • Description: A delightful lampoon of speedrunning videogames and the video game
community, with countless amusing (integrated) references to top stories
on FimFiction circa late 2012-early 2013. At times we're in the world
of the speedrunners and videogame and at other times (the best times)
we're in the heads of the ponies who are confused by the human hurtling
    through their game.

It was written on the fly and one can note a bit of that creakiness at
times (especially with the small Luna portions), but overall, this story
is a wild ride that's more wholesome and nowhere near as offensive as
the title's subject matter makes it appear.

Entry 2: Troubles Over Hot Chocolate

ETroubles Over Hot Chocolate
Skipping out on weather duty is almost unheard of for Sprinkle Medley. While a winter wonderland forecast of a snow-filled season brings smiles to everypony in Ponyville around her, the new weathermare slips into depression rooted in rainy days.

  • Submitter: Rego
  • Description: A slightly dramatic piece about problems mattering, no matter how big or small.

Entry 3: A Peach is Worth a Thousand Problems

EA Peach is Worth a Thousand Problems
It's always the little things that are overlooked when finding that special somepony. For Octavia, marrying a foodie has born its own special set of quirks, which are usually lovable and endearing. Not so true when it comes to his passion.

  • Description: A silly grocery shopping comedy.

Entry 4: Equestrian Vice

[Adult story embed hidden]

  • Submitter: pseudobob
  • Description: A very strange detective fic written back in 2015 that I found during a
randomized search a couple years ago. I thought it was interesting, so
    here it is!

The author appears inactive, so there may be no point in leaving
comments. I leave that to Comment Club judgement.

Entry 5: A Cloudsdale Connection

TA Cloudsdale Connection
On Hearth's Warming Eve, Sky Stinger tries to make things up to Vapor Trail.
PseudoBob Delightus · 4.9k words  ·  13  0 · 146 views
  • Submitter: pseudobob
  • Description: This was a Jinglemas thing, but I never heard back from from the recipient about it, so I'd just like some feedback.

Entry 6: A Lovestruck Folly

[Adult story embed hidden]

  • Submitter: pseudobob
  • Description: One of my favourites from the New Blood contest, but, among my favourites, it has the fewest comments. Tragic, I say.
  • The Author: Neither approved nor disapproved this submission
  • Tone: Positive Comments Only

Entry 7: Avoidance

TAvoidance
Pony Wallflower Blush wakes up in a desolate and empty world, hoofcuffed to a princess of a species she's never heard of before. Everything feels so wrong. She tries not to think about it too hard.
Bicyclette · 8.6k words  ·  33  10 · 740 views
  • Submitter: Bicyclette
  • Description: My entry for the 2021 May Pairings Contest, and one of the fics in my subgenre of existential romance
  • The Author: Is the submitter
  • Tone: As Honest As You Like

Entry 8: Rooftop

TRooftop
Sunset Shimmer and Abacus Cinch have a conversation at the end of the world.
Bicyclette · 4.2k words  ·  32  9 · 1k views
  • Submitter: Bicyclette
  • Description: The only entry for the Sunset Shimmer x Abacus Cinch contest, which was probably wise on the part of the other non-entrants. I wanted to see whether or not I succeeded in writing a shipfic for these two that used as few gimmicks as possible to get around the obvious difficulties
  • The Author: Is the submitter
  • Tone: As Honest As You Like

Entry 9: A Life Lived in Hundreds

TA Life Lived in Hundreds
Granny smith is born, lives life, and dies. In between, she falls in love with Twilight Sparkle.
Botched Lobotomy · 5.3k words  ·  44  3 · 956 views
  • Submitter: Bicyclette
  • Description: One hundred words for each year of Granny Smith's life is the byline gimmick. Within is poetry and beauty like I've never seen. This is one of those fics I really wish I had written but know that I do not have the talent to have done so
  • The Author: Neither approved nor disapproved this submission

Apologies. Amending the Speedrunning story submission description to correct a typo and reconsiderations, which are my fault. :pinkiecrazy: The changes are bolded and/or struck through below.
