Over the course of one's life in modern society, one is expected to follow certain scripts. Scripts for birth, childhood, adolescence, graduation, careers, marriage, children, retirement, death and everything in between. After his mother's funeral, Dr. Daniel Zukertort expected to follow the script marked "The Grieving Process" followed by "Resuming Normal Life". But there's no script for what to do when a stranger in a blue box arrives to take him and his family to a world both alien and somehow familiar in search of a father he never knew existed.

Then there's the issue of turning into a bizarre horse-like creature..along with a passion he never knew possible.

The farther he goes, the more questions he encounters. Who..or what is he, really? Where..and with whom does he truly belong? Where..and who is his father..and would he have been better off not knowing the truth?

The answers are waiting for him at the end of the road.

In the future, ponies have settled on other planets. Transport with starships is common.
These ships are spaceplones - voidcraft plane ponies equipped with artificial intelligence sophisticated enough to feel true emotion and experience friendship.
The friendship between the pilots and the AI is not only necessary to maintain the pilot's sanity on long, lonely journeys, but also to keep the FTL Friendship Drive operational.
What is life like for these ship AIs for whom the words ownership, friendship, and employment are almost synonymous?

The setting is mostly inspired by the game Elite Dangerous and its famous misunderstanding of the ship computer's voice line "Frame shift drive charging". However, the FTL experience is vastly different and the story also incorporates ship designs and ideas from Star Citizen and other scifi. Cover art by Reterica. Canterlot High School is having a talent show, and the Rainbooms are eager to join in. However, things get complicated when the human world version of Sunset Shimmer suddenly makes an appearance. After much confusion and several mix-ups, she finally meets her counterpart and her friends. Unlike her counterpart, however, she's shy and reserved. The girls try to befriend her, but this Sunset doesn't seem to be too interested in friendship. She is, however, very interested in the rumors of magic surrounding Canterlot High, and seems to be hiding something magic related herself. And when magical mishaps begin to occur, the Equestria Girls begin to suspect that this new Sunset may be behind them. Is it possible that she's evil and power hungry the way her counterpart once was, or is there something else at work?
