Gather 'round, everypony, because the cantankerous and often licentious Leech wanted to share his thoughts on something.
Back in ye olden day, when I published my first dubiously written story, I did it for kicks, but something changed. As time went on, belting out story after story, I set a goal for myself. I swore that I'd publish a work of fiction every week, no matter the cost, and I've stuck to that for over three years. A lot of my stuff consists of trades, promos, commissions, collabs, or just lewd ideas that I vomited onto digital paper, but there's actually a reason which keeps me writing. Believe it or not, the main reason I write stuff is for all of you.
It probably sounds dumb as hell, considering the overwhelming majority of my content is depraved as all get-out, but it's true - I contribute for the fandom. I knew the day would come that Hasbro abandoned G4, moving on to bigger and better things, and now that time has come to past - as such, it's up to us, all of us to keep this fandom going. The composers, illustrators, animators, authors, sculptors, voice actors, and the fans - we're all that's left to carry on G4.
I know there's been a lot of BS in the community, from slander and name calling to actual cases of hatred and bigotry, but I don't want that to tear us all apart. Regardless of what your political affiliation is, your spiritual beliefs, the language you speak, the color of your skin, or your gender, pony brought us all together. I don't give a shit what sort of content you make - hell, I'm overjoyed by folks just sharing pony content; the only thing that matters to me is that we all keep this train chugging along.
Now I'm now one to get preachy, although I'm not opposed to yelling at kids on my lawn, but maybe we should all step back, take a breath, and remember that we're all here for our love of marshmallow equines. I certainly hope that nothing stops me, and that I can keep putting my work on this fine site, yet I'm just one dude. We need the wholesome stuff - we need all the cute, SFW content - and we need to keep the people holding the fabric of this fandom together.
I know it's childish to think that we'll all hold hands, sing kumbaya, and act like we're all bestest best friends, because that's silly - that being said, there's no reason we can't all get along. See past people's differences, realize that people won't necessarily think and act like you, and come to terms with the fact that folks have different tastes. So long as fiction remains fiction, lines or letters on a page, it's not hurting anyone. Maybe we should all think twice before we make a mean tweet, downvote someone's hard work just because we dislike the topic, or hurl insults, the world will be a little less shitty.
Anyways, that's about all I have to say. I'm gonna go make some tea, maybe smoke my pipe, and muse on what wholesome and/or depraved things I'll craft next.

It won't be exactly like that but we can actually act like mature people and just deal with problems and arguments with comunication and understanding...nothing is simple, but we can make an effort to understand that nothing is the same for everybody and you can enjoy or understand things that are not your cup of tea.
We have come this far in life despite everything so why not make the ride a bit smoother?

I agreed hole heartily. The first episode I ever saw was 'Hurricane shy' and the minute i saw it, I was- for lack of a better word- enchanted. And I second Leech, we are all that remains of G4 and this fandom must continue. Now we ARE FIM. We mustn't ever forget that friendship is magic.

Keeping fandom alive with your work is a noble goal, and i share it in my part of the world (yes, my contribution is way smaller, but it still exists).
Let's remember, that we hawe two wonders - first, obviously, that world of cute technicolor horses, but second - a community of strange people that, dozen years ago, embraced ideas of being nice and friendly amid constantly warring 4chan.
Not everyone of us must be a model brony, but we must try, at least.
My money is on Lyra getting horrifyingly disfiguring surgery in order to finally indulge her hand-holding fetish. Although I suppose that might be more AnonPencil's thing.

The best way to keep supporting and building onto the awesomeness that is G4 is to just keep creating and creating. Speaking of creating things, do you plan on doing anymore Nord/Anon stuff? That would be really awesome in of itself.

I joined the fandom really late, and this site even later (literally joined feb 2021) but to you my friend, I thank you dearly. You are an inspiration and I hope all will gather under G4's banner long after G5 comes out. As you say, it was inevitable that Hasbro would move on, but the G4 world is so vast that we all have a place to share and call home within it. I know G5 and G4 are the same world, but still. Also Inc cross over fics!
