But seriously though. If I see one more person add to this spiraling chain of events, I'm going to taunt a senior citizen out of sheer what-the-fuckery. Look. I love you guys. Even you, Regidar*. The bottom line is, I think we have a tendency to be just a bit over-dramatic about things. People always freak out over the newest episode, than go on self-imposed pony probations because they feel they've lost faith in friendship or they didn't experience some kind of insane cartoon-induced epiphany. Almost all of them come crawling back. From what I've observed, there's a good helping of drama queens in our mix. Quit being divas.
We might watch a show made for little girls, but I think it's time to grow up. We are men... mostly. So nut up or shut up.
Yes, we have an amazing community. Yes, there are more negative aspects of it, but so there are for all other communities. Deal with it. Love and Tolerate. For those of us who cry foul , it's not going to do any real good, and in fact may just end up contributing to the problem!
See my helpful set of rules for dealing with stuff like this:
1.) Don't feed the Parasprites.
2.) Don't talk about Fight Club.
3.) Bros before hoes - except after does.
4.) Worship Cthulhu.
5.) The secret recipe for the Krabby Patty is... .
What I really, really hate to see, though, is that people always have a tendency to focus on the negative aspect of things. Don't believe me? Turn on the local reporting station. Read a newspaper. 8/10 stories involve some disaster or some tragedy. Nobody ever points out how fucking great things are compared to other places. Don't mean to point fingers here, but we're way, way, way, way, way, way better off than fanfiction.net. That place is scary.
So, in conclusion, if you see something you don't like on the site, don't even bother with it. Don't downvote it, don't comment on it, don't even look at the damn thing, because that's just going to give it more attention. That's been our policy for trolls since our dark beginnings on 4chan. Maybe my approach is flawed, but the alternative will lead to conflict. We're bronies, first and foremost, and we've always been unified in our love of the show. Please, don't divide us into factions. Please, don't fight each other. Some of us just want to kick back and pony with good friends.

The fandom isn't stagnating, it hasn't abandoned the ideals of the show, FIMFiction isn't going to the dogs, or any oof that other nonsense... people are just being overdramatic... about freaking everything.
I am tired of people bitching about everything, if you don't like something ignore it, if you think everything in the fandom (particularly the fiction side of it) is going to shit, take a deep breath and look at all the positive things going on, and realize it really isn't so bad. Clop is the same way, don't bemoan how suddenly everyone is turning perverted or something, just turn off the mature setting, many other perfectly respectable people do.
and, while I can't even begin to imagine how many fics I've seen that are bad, I can count on one hand the number of times I've downvoted anything.
