I have decreed in my infinite wisdom that this counts as a story in my not-a-contest. After all, the first one was submitted to the contest, and having read this one, I find that this story also is largely focused on working ponies on Earth.

In fact, now would be a good time to mention if any of y’all find a good PoE SoL story that was published after my not-a-contest started (early September this year) by all means send me a PM, and I’ll give it a look and maybe include it in the contest because why not? We’re all winners in this thing.

So buckle in, kids, ‘cause it looks like we’re in for an adventure! I’m already onboard for more shenanagins with the Mareiott staff, and of course we’re also going to have some HiE going on and y’all know I’m down for that. And I think y’all will be, too.

The good news is this isn't the first chapter, but a one-shot. The next sequel will be the multi-chapter story focusing on the mares of the Mareiott. I'm just hoping to finish up a few other fics in the meantime so I can dedicate the majority of my horse words for 2020 to Snowcatcher & company.
