New Audiobook by ThelifeonCloud9: All Nightmare Long

    Happy Nightmare Night, everypony!

As part of this year's Month of Macabre, ThelifeonCloud9 has released an audio production of my story All Nightmare Long. (Trivia time: Cloud9 got her start in fandom audio productions four years ago, with a bit part in Scribbler's production of another story of mind, Holder's Boulder.)

    Check it out below:

    Audiobook Directory

Over the years, several fandom YouTubers have created audio productions of stories from the Horse Voice bibliography. These are now very numerous, and so for the convenience of listeners, I have compiled them here.

Many thanks to those who liked my stories enough to create these great renditions.

    You Are Not Alone

This message is very, very late by the standards of the Internet. But my conscience won't let me rest until I say how I feel.

A week ago, news broke that former fan-author Jetfire2012 had taken leave of his sanity and picked a fight with an entire crowd... with predictable and well-deserved results.

Dear Ponies, Allow Me to Play You Out

Here in Canada, tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day. And so for myself and other Canadian bronies, the timing of Pony's finale, almost to the day, is quite fitting.

But really, who needs a red-letter day for thankfulness? This event may be bittersweet, but we can all be thankful for the good times, for the lessons that help us, for our creations, and for each other.

My Interview at BronyCon: Slightly Less Cringey Than I Expected

"Um, uh, uh, er, um, uh, y'know..."
    --Me

Surprise, everyone! One of my fans, Tyler Hinton, managed to find me at BronyCon 2019 and ask for an in-person interview. The result: About six minutes of me spilling my guts, interspersed with ten minutes of "um's." Luckily, Tyler edited the boring parts out, so my long, rambling answers don't drag on too much.

A Winner is Me · 1:26am Jul 22nd, 2019

Today, Obabscribbler, who needs no introduction, wrote this comment on my story I Cast a Deadly Shadow:

Congrats! This is the (very belated) winner of the Bronycon Them's Writin' Words 2018 Contest!

A full cast reading of your story featuring myself, Goombasa, Neighrator Pony, Luna Farrowe and Wubcake is now in development. Thank you again for writing such an awesome fanfic!

Well. I am absolutely floored.

Special thanks are due my two editors, GaryOak and Reia Hope, for helping make this story as good as it is. Big thanks also to Scribbler, Neighrator Pony, and AShadowofCygnus, for hosting the panel where the contest was announced. Thanks also to the judges ( I want to say, "You like me! You really like me!").

The funny thing is that in the handful of times I've ever been able to enter contests, I've never expected to win. The complexity of my personal life has always meant few opportunities for such, with even these being rush jobs. It was always a moral victory just to get in before the deadline. And yet here we are. It's positively surreal.

Watch this space, because I'll be announcing the release of the reading when it appears.

Cheers,
H.V.

ooh, advance notice that I can be lazy and not read this myself :D

Congratulations! Well done!

When I saw how few people had actually entered, I thought I had a good chance. Then I saw you were one of the people who did enter...

Aw shucks, thank you. But funny thing--I didn't think I stood much chance against the author of Dinkin' Donuts. :twilightblush:

Spoiler alert: It's better than All Nightmare Long. :raritywink:

better late than never
congrats

Good shit. Congratulations. :pinkiehappy:

I knew I shouldn't have sat on that unedited reading of the story I did. Oh well. I know Scribbler will do it 10 times better than I can!

It's very flattering, in any case. :twilightsheepish: (Sidebar: Hey, someone who liked Celestia Hates Us All!)

That is one of the most metal stories on this site \m/.

Congrats Horse Voice! You managed to win despite me being one of your editors! :P
