Hereafter Ponies Delayed, Changed Workflow due to RSI, Will Practice with New G1 Story

Due to RSI, I took two weeks off at the beginning of October. When I tried to go back to work, my hands still bothered me. It was only on the 16th that I came up with a solution.

Using an Android app called Orgzly, I've begun to outline Hereafter Ponies in its entirety, something I'd been doing sparingly in recent months. This'll let me rest my hands while also staying productive.

Health Update: The Greatest Showmare, RSI, Dvorak

Last week, I had just finished the second-to-last scene of the next chapter when my hands started bothering me. I tried a whole bunch of things like wrist braces, setting the ceiling fan to the lowest setting so that it wouldn’t blow cold air on my hands as I type, gloves, rearranging the pillows since I type in bed, an elaborate series of stretches, and, most importantly, learning the Dvorak

Afterword: The Mare in the Moon

In late July of last year, my cousin was going away for a week, and I was asked to house-sit for them. As an aspiring author, this gave me a chance to write in private (and use their internet). Afterword: The Mare in the Moon · 9:22pm Apr 11th, 2019

In late July of last year, my cousin was going away for a week, and I was asked to house-sit for them. As an aspiring author, this gave me a chance to write in private (and use their internet). Of course, my brothers invited themselves over and spent the first couple of days watching cartoons. After they ran out of shows to watch—and since I wasn’t getting much work done—I suggested we watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

I’d never seen the show before, but I had heard about it from some guys who were really into it. After watching the first 2 minutes, we were hooked, and we spent the week watching about 2 seasons while I downloaded the rest to watch at home.

Later on, I got into reading a lot of MLP fanfic, especially ponyfication stories like:

EMy Life as a Bipedal Quadruped
Our hero finds herself in a strange world, and in a strange new form. Maybe this could be a fresh start, you ask? The thing is that she wasn't aware she needed one.
Snakeskin Ducttape · 377k words  ·  2,150  60 · 36k views
EGilded Sister
A young girl who never got a chance to live is gifted that chance in the form of a new body, life, and brother. How will this old soul take to her strange world?
Kind of Brony · 127k words  ·  2,703  45 · 26k views
TNew Beginnings
A magical accident have a human end up in Equestria in the form of a unicorn.
Hiver · 57k words  ·  3,833  69 · 57k views
TThe Humble Prince
A man wakes up to find he's inhabiting the body of a cartoon horse who wasn't exactly Mister Popular, judging from how shocked the locals are when he says things like 'please' and 'thank you'.
Lighting Ace · 537k words  ·  2,540  190 · 44k views
TSomething Missing (Old/Cancelled)
A Nerd is reborn into the life of a young colt, promising to do things better this time, to enjoy this world he loves so much. Only... something is missing, something important.
Lazy Coyote · 23k words  ·  929  40 · 8.4k views

But it was the premise of Lazy Coyote’s Something Missing that inspired me to write my own. Of course, it was also due to the book being unfinished at the time—ending when the brony-turned-pony leaves for Ponyville—leaving me wanting MOAR.

Now at the time, I struggled to write. I was slow, and I had a hard time just sitting down and writing consistently. But, because of this fanfic, I’ve revamped my writing process. I now work for 7 hours a day, 5 days a week with an increase in writing speed.

And so after two or three months of work, a brony, a pegasister, and some random guy were reborn in Equestria as an earth pony, a pegasus, and a unicorn named Clover Quartz, Featherdew, and Midnight Errant respectively. This trio would later find themselves in the town of Ponyville where they would help Princess Luna escape her nightmares and reunite with Queen Celestia.

However, this is just the first book in a series I call Hereafter Ponies, and it is going to be very long indeed.

I hope you look forward to it.
