    One Last Update

Hey all. As my last blog said, and as you've probably noticed, I've basically left the site. Comments from me are very rare and I expect blogs (like this one) will be even rarer. But interesting times have gotten even more interesting, so I'm back for one final message.

    Black Lives Matter, my dudes.

    Updates, and Endings

Been a while, eh? A part of me wants to put a joke there, maybe a "kept you waiting, huh?" reference, but I don't think this is the blog for it.

Just a heads up, this isn't going to be a fun blog.

    Galacon Was Fun

Well, strictly speaking, Galacon itself was a massive let-down. Only a single writing-related panel during the entire convention and it was awful. It was also apparently part two, when part one happened last year? Bloody stupid.

But that's ok, because I had the good sense to stay away from that nonsense, and hung out with some cool Horse People instead.

Galacon Was Fun · 12:41am Aug 2nd, 2018

Well, strictly speaking, Galacon itself was a massive let-down. Only a single writing-related panel during the entire convention and it was awful. It was also apparently part two, when part one happened last year? Bloody stupid.

But that's ok, because I had the good sense to stay away from that nonsense, and hung out with some cool Horse People instead.

Familiar faces returning, like archonix, Carabas, ferret, knighty, Lise Eclaire, and Skywriter. Names finally put to faces, like Cursori, Orbiting Kettle, and Pearple Prose. Also some completely new people, like Garth, Mrs. Kettle, GhostOfHeraclitus(!!!), and SR Foxley. All of these people are cool. Even pear.

Much good food was had. Much good drink was drunk. In fact, we were all drunk at one point or another, pretty sure.

Was fun. Good people. Have some pictures.

The gang on the first day

The gang on the second day. We acquired a few

The "cultural exchange table", where folk all brought various drinks/snacks from their home countries. Featuring a quite shocking amount of hard liquor, tablet, Scandinavian nonsense, plum beer, cherry wine, and a frankly silly amount of things that include maple syrup

A slightly derpy looking me, culturally enriching myself

Alpaca

I have no explanation

Carabas, looking right at home in Germany

A derpibooru admin in their natural state

All in all, pretty fun

Last night I dreamt that Gilbert Godfrey came to my house and fixed my wifi. I asked him to leave because I wanted Plum to be here instead. Stay gay.

Galacon (and more specifically, hanging out with all the Horse People involved) was the absolute funnest. Glad to have met you again, as well as all the new faces past familiar names.

Beer by the steinful is an entirely recommendable quantity when the sun's trying to kill you.

Well, I'm genuinely gald that you had fun at Galacon, Plum.

At least you had fun, right?

ugh, why are you so photogenic D:

There was so much maple syrup...

It was truly and thoroughly gay in a lot of senses of the word, and a rather wonderful experience.

I know, right?

I swear, got used to you only being in your suit at cons, you look weird in casual clothes :rainbowlaugh:

Camaraderie? Drinking? Alpacas? Keep it up.

4912544 No such thing as too much Maple Syrup, especially when you put it in booze!

As always, the beard is the star of the show
