Writing Hiatus & writing plans. · 8:08am Jan 27th, 2018
So yeah...
Last night, Windows decided to update somehow, though I could have sworn the service was disabled.
And it bricked my laptop. Not only that. All my Restore Points have been deleted. So yeah... that happened.
Apparently its an issue with the update that fucks uo something in the bios. One would think that Microsoft would know how to program their own fucking software...
Regardless. I have a friend who's repairing my computer for the low price of a few beers, so he's a fucking legend.
(Yes he's a licensed computer techician and has solved this issue on other computers. No, he will wait til after he's fixed it for those drinks.)
Thankfully, the story I'm writing with Thad has a LOT of pre written chapters. Almost half a years worth.
But... my own stuff will stagnate for a bit. Hopefully this will be solved by tomorrow. But I'm making this just in case. Worst case? If I need a new machine?
That'll take months.
Anyway. Enough of that. I have plans for writing.
One. Midnight Mares is getting a complete, from the ground up rewrite. What we have is good. But a lot of my personal canon for Midnight and her family has changed and I want to add that.
Two. I have that story in the works. That's right. The one you're all chomping at the bit for. Right here, right now. I am anouncing the third Flare Blitz fic. The prologue is done and Chapter one is half done. But... I don't know if I should post it now. Or write some more so I can make a few regular updates. Also... I need cover art. Something I'm too poor to afford right now.
Three. Well... I dunno. I have a few plans for Dragon King. But Changelings is stalled for now. Same with Princess and the Human. I'm just not sure where to take the story.
I also have two one-shots in the works. Gifts for some people I don't deserve to be friends with.

to put it simple if you are running win 10 you cant it will turn the up dates on it's self.

I know the feeling, and am happy to know you're getting your machinge fixed by someone who knows how.
The same issue made my hard drive to make bad noises before dying out... weirdly enough, it still works as a slave so I dodged a bullet in that regard, but I can't use my old desktop anymore - the damn thing won't accept a new windows installation anymore.
Gotta love Microsoft and its damned shoving of their updating service down one's throat.
I am saddened by your choice to put in hiatus The Princess and the Human - that one is a story i've been tracking for a while, but I can understand not knowing where to take the story.
PS: I use this program for updating every now and then: wsusoffline. The program's awesome, and only have to tolerate windows updating when it is something that wsusoffline won't download by itself.
Post the prologue now! The cover art worry about it later.
Well darn. I just find you after going through my read it later for the most interesting new stories. I guess I'm gonna have to be content with your other stuff for now (which I *will* be going through like Pinkie through a cupcake stand after that adorable TwiKai thing!)
Just finished re-reading A Pony Out of Place and Flames and Twilight. and really enjoyed them (just as I did the first time
). I'd offer to try and put together some cover art for you, but ponies are something I have difficulty drawing for some reason. 
Sorry to hear about your computer. It's really frustrating when that happens and even worse if or when you lose stuff that can't be retrieved. I regularly back up my most important stuff to an external hard drive because the thought of just losing everything on my computer terrifies me.
About a year ago my laptop blue-screened as it does sometimes, but instead of just rebooting, it opened up to the bios, and turns out my hard drive was fried. The realisation hit me like a tonne of bricks; I lost everything and had to get my hard drive replaced. I was an idiot for not having everything backed up. I know how it feels bro, you're not alone.
By the way, I would love to see more Princess and the Human; it's my favourite story of yours.
