4496028 Well, a spork is an useful thing. Add a knife [a corrugated at that, I love this stuff] to it and you will have a feeding tool to answer all your mouth-stuffing needs. I mean imagine going to camping - you have only one of those and it's harder to get lost in my opinion.
The materials are a bit of an overkill but I can see those beeing used by people who want high-end stuff.

I maintain that the use of a spork constitutes a poor life choice. Sporks barely function as either a fork or a spoon, by attempting to do both, neither is achieved in any meaningful way. Proper meal planning eliminates the need for a fork, and one should have a proper pocketknife in the first place.

Not going to lie, I bought one after seeing this blog post. Not because it's badass, but because it's ridiculous but technically possibly useful. Nothing would be more entertaining than people's faces if you have one and it actually comes in handy one day. Plus, I eat most of my meals at work with a spork. And someone stole my heavy duty camping spork off the table at work last night while I wasn't in the room, so I have a convenient excuse to buy a new one.

4496285 Used to have one of these el-cheapo Rambo style knock off things for camping back in the 80's. Compass never worked, the saw wire snapped first time I tried it, matches didn't light, but the saw edge on the back of the blade cut wood quite well!

4496377 You don't understand, the spork is made of some kind of fiber/resin thing, and the blade is the same material. It's not a metal blade, even cheap metal, it's essentially fiber/resin plastic.
