Brand new Salvation chapters, and a quick update

Hey folks,

First, for those of you wanting some new material, there are now two new chapters online over in Salvation. Knock yourself out!

Now, for a quick update on my other priorities. Once Salvation is put to bed, I have a one-shot comedy featuring Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, and a camel spider named Decimal. Inspired by too much time in Afghanistan.

After the comedy, however, comes the story a lot more of you have been waiting for: a sequel to The Wind Thief. Those of you who missed the teaser chapter at the end of TWT can find it here: In the City of Shadows and Light. I would also like to thank everyone for their patience -- I thought I would write that one during my deployment, but other stories kept crowding their way into my brain.

I wholeheartedly agree with this! I absolutely /love/ the main character of The Wind Thief. Probably within my top 5 of OC main characters... And I read a LOT of stories.

... is it bad that I've looked at every update you've posted since The Wind Thief ended, looking for the news of the sequel? For this entire time?

Actually, that may be the reason I haven't enlisted. Sure, I want to get in shape so I don't die horribly in basic (which will happen anyway, though) and I want to finish my degree first... but there's these giant fucking spiders, man. We don't have enough firepower.

Is that story going to have Twilight more afraid of camel spiders than of the deaths of all her close friends and family? Because camel spiders are worth that kind of deep-seated instinctual terror. If a camel spider had me cornered, I'd probably commit seppuku with a blunt object before I let it hug me. But judging by the camel spider's name, it might be Twilight's pet instead...?
