It's my birthday! I'm 18 now, woo!
I feel old...
Now, you don't care about that, what you do care about is the schedule for updates to Change: Queen of the Hive! Well, I'm going on holiday this weekend for my birthday to Amsterdam, going Friday and returning late Sunday night.
Since this conflicts with my shcdule for creating and editing new chapters, I will make sure to finish and send the next chapter away for editing by Wednesday, and will hopefully be able to pop on and add the final touches, then publishing it, Sunday night as per usual. However, should I be pooped from the journey home I may end up simply delaying it a day, and publishing it Monday instead.
But it will come! So put away those pitchforks and torches, you might hurt yourselves.

Congratulations, you've reached an arbitrary age that gets you treated like you are a completely different person than you were yesterday. Enjoy all the new rules and responsibilities and hardships that are now forced upon you for no damn reason besides the fact that you are now a day older than you were yesterday. Enjoy as all the fun in your life gets sucked away as you have to find a job to afford all the new bullshit like healthcare, car insurance, an apartment, food, and everything else (depending on how nice your parents are, as they can kick you out of their home at any time now).
And the best part is, you don't even have the silver lining that is the ability to purchase liquor to help you block out the pain of life for a little bit.

Starting University in September. Games Development, quite looking forward to it.
NHS is free. I'm from the UK.
Not getting a car just yet.
As I said, going to Uni, got the costs of accommodations covered already.
Also have money for food covered along with that for the accommodations, plus there are part time jobs around campus if I want extra. Oh, and my parents are fine with me staying as long a I reasonably need to after university.
I do actually, the minimum age in the UK is 18, I'm buying a pint tonight when we go out for my birthday meal.

Over here in America, it's a bitch and a half to even be an adult. I just wish I had the money to get more liquor, as I don't really have anything good for shots, and I don't have much of budget for things to mix my booze with, I'm also strictly hard liquor in my alcoholism.
