Fast Times at Coffee High · 7:58am Feb 5th, 2017
From gun allegations to junior paleontologists, this was a biggish week at CoffeeMinion HQ. Get a few updates on stuff after the break.

I'm tagging this post with Baby Limestone Rides to War because I have another Limestone story in the works. Heavy Rock is something I've teased a couple times under a couple different names, but I think this title's going to stick. It ships EqG Limestone Pie with Flash Sentry, and it does so in earnest, despite being one of the more cracky pairings you'll likely ever find. It's ~23K words of love triangles, character development, and a heavy dose of rock n' roll, alongside--yes--the romance. It also builds on the Pie family dynamics glimpsed in Baby Limestone Rides to War, which was entirely too much fun to expand beyond Limestone and her dad (though their relationship remains a key part of the story). I'm not quite sure when it'll come out (Valentine's Day seems ambitious), but it went to pre-readers this week.
In other news, Daring Do and the Goggles of Shipping returned with a brand-new epilogue! Time to party like it's 2015!! Longtime watchers might remember spotting the epilogue in a blog post from way back, but now it's official! Maybe that means there's a sequel brewing? (In truth, there has always been a sequel brewing for this one, but there keep being impediments to making it happen. Never say never, though!)
Speaking of digging up old things, I finally founded my first FimFiction group: Petunia Paleo! Remember the cute blue filly in The Fault In Our Cutie Marks who dug up ancient pony bones in her backyard? Can you believe no one had created a group for her yet?! Come check it out, and maybe write us some stories for it.
What else we got? How 'bout a third chapter of my OC blowing stuff up? Yes, go check that out.
Oh, and last but not least, this month's chapter (#9) of To Serve In Hell dropped right on time, which was a miracle considering that it wasn't until late in the month that I realized the absolute necessity of inserting the scene I did now. Still more miraculous was landing in the feature box for a couple hours, making To Serve In Hell my second story to hit both the box and EqD. At any rate, highlights from this month's chapter include a scandalous proposal, and something that's definitely (probably) not a massive Chekhov's gun. Yep, honest Applejack.

So how was your week? What are you guys working on?
By a possibly insane coincidence, I have seriously considered shipping pony Limestone with pony Sentry.
Hmm. I certainly look forward to your take on what Limestone's up to in the human world, especially if she's still the oldest of the four siblings.
I'm down for that ship. (I'm a big fan of Flash Sentry, I'm not lying) Can't wait to see it.
4410061 That is truly a crazy coincidence. I'll tell you what, if you decide to pursue that, I'll go start a FlashLime group so we can sing the praises of this crackiest of ships.
4410078 She is! I didn't realize until too late that most people seem to put Maud as the oldest. I like having Limestone as the oldest for a lot of reasons, though, and both Baby Limestone and (especially) Heavy Rock touch on those.
4410155 Thank you much, I'm looking forward to getting it out there.
Flashpie sounds like something done with large groups and cellphones...
Chapter 4 of the 40k fic is done... maybe? I dunno.
And I'm resurrecting that story from August's writeoff,
Fun projects in the works.
Sounds like a productive week. On my end mostly... I've been either working on the ever growing version of Princess Party which has gone through a number of title changes. Reading other folks stuff and if none of that... being stuck at work for increasing lengths of time.
4413581 Sounds good about that Writeoff thing. Also I know I'm behind on your chapter and I'll try to get to that shortly!
4413861 Speaking of the Writeoff, I think there's a FiM minific one this weekend...

Yeah, I figured since you hadn't got back to me that you were probably buried again, I know the feeling.
As for Buyer Beware, I must now write more, since it was 500-750 words and the intro was just purple garbage.
4414320 Buried is right. Work has gone doodoo crazy again this week. Something's gotta give, and cartoon horse has been the thing.
