I've come to a point of...difficulty with 'Three More Things!' I have the entirety of the show timeline planned out, so once I get there story will flow easily. However, getting there...well, I'm hitting a bit of a wall.
As such, I want you all to submit suggestions - simple ones - for chapter ideas of things that can happen with Uncle, Jackie, and the CMC as they start to grow up. This will help me with creating future chapters. Just...nothing too complicated, okay. I don't want a summary, I want a springboard.
Their first Birthday party?
There first Day of school?
How about take some notes from the first arc of "Sparkle in his Eye"?
hmmm....
how about them creating a small room for them to practice?
Scoots creating her first thunder cloud?
Tantrum?
Aquariam visit?
3934335 School seems unlikely. Uncle is going out of his way to keep them secret, which is probably a good idea; homeschooling is probably the best choice. How about the fillies sneaking out of the shop unsupervised and raising some hilarious mayhem?
Add a couple of surprise Magical artifacts, that jack found/recovered. hell look at some of the lessons/troubles they had with Jade in the first season and set the ground work for fixing/preventing.
Hm... Maybe take some leaves out of 'The Technological Technicolor Technomare'? Show them getting a pet, first day of school (or being home-schooled), being made official citizens of the US (because that will need to be done now that it's clear they're sapient), etc.
I recommend the last one be done soon, or else there will be problems soon. Does Jackie know his agent friend at this point in history?
Hijinks with magic trinkets around the shop?
I like the Idea of the girls messing around with magic unknowingly. Like the interesting times curse, or the crossroads demon curse, or the classics like broken mirrors and walking under ladders. Maybe it could even be their internal magics mimicking the effects of the curses.
Well it may behoove Uncle to witness a customer's interactions (adorable, frustrating, and/or disastrous) with the fillies.
One more thing.
Fillies need to see doctor. Ancient Chinese Medicine could use update for ponies.
One more thing.
Outing with fillies should include an arcade scene. Perhaps with Sweetie Belle rocking the Mario Bros cabinet.

San Francisco has very steep streets well suited for wicked skate boarding and EXTREME 90's era sporting.

I feel that a good option would be to have the crusaders cause innocent mayhem while trying to help Uncle and Jackie. An example would be Sweetie Belle nearly burning down the show trying to make a meal for Uncle.

Black Hand moving von LA nach san francisco? (Shendus travel and cursing in a Truck or "worse" hanging on a rope under a helicopter XD)?
Jackie walks CMC, loses track of them, CMC get caught by dog catchers. Have fun.
The CMC meet a mime for the first time... or a clown... or Santa.
Jackie or Uncle try to teach them about antiques to varying reactions from the fillies.
Perhaps have the CMC develop their skill of peerlessly avoiding adult supervision early and have them get a couple of chance meetings with Valmont (and maybe his crew), or perhaps Viper? Where they could later spot them in their lives and possibly - with the exception of Valmont - make them question their alignment and choices regarding the fillies? I can imagine them encountering Tohru...
And perhaps a brief foreshadowing of seeing the Monkey King's puppet?
AB starting a garden or 'helping' Uncle with potions. SB helping keep the shop tidy. Scoots .... something I dunno keeping watch/lookout for customers, nosy neighbors, and such.
Holiday episodes. Christmas, Halloween, etc. Oooh, Chinese New Year's! ... and other Chinese holidays? Outside my knowledge but Uncle strikes me as the traditional sort.
Uncle would probably teach the CMC a lot about magic while they're young. So you could do that exposition now and have them humorously recap it later.
Earthquake! How do Sweetie and Bloom react to the ground beneath their feet shaking? (I imagine that Scoots would just look down from her cloud wonder what all the fuss is about)
Do they develop another CMC like group? Or does that wait until Jade shows up at which point they become the Talismark Crusaders?
Playing with customer's children or the neighborhood kids?
What about the CMC learning to cook both normal and magical food? Though that is a little further down the line.
How about an incident with a literal springboard? Maybe a broken window and someone getting hit with a tennis ball?
um...I GOT ONE. I'd like to see the cmc meet Toru BEFORE he was employed by the bad guys. Didn't he have a Granny or something?
Hmm... chi magic shenanigans, perhaps? Maybe have one of them inclined toward some form of tree-based chi magic (it would certainly explain all the tree sap :pinkie happy:)?
Perhaps give them an early run-in with one of the later J-Team members, or even several of them?

Ideas eh? Hmm, here are five.
-Scootaloo picks up to like skateboards over scooters here.
-The Black Hand goons meeting the ponies one day out and convincing them of playing.
-Bath time shenanigans.
-An animal follow them and the CMC plea to keep it.
-Show off the CMCs martial arts later on and accordingly making a chain reaction to break a lot of antiques. (Bonus: Maybe have them dress up like Shadowkhan for the lols?)
A thief tries to steal antiques in the middle of the night, but blunders into the ponies needing food/water/hugs/ect. The thief tries to take care of the ponies needs so they won't wake up uncle with their crying. Takes too long and doesn't get to steal anything before he has to leave.
Hiring a babysitter, who happens to be the counterpart of one of someone?
How about some details of what Zecora/Twilight are up to during these past few days?
3934368 I can imagine Shen-Du, while being transported, starts singing "Discord" before wondering where that urge came from and mentioning: "Hrm... It was a catchy tune, I'll give it that."
One thing that might be interesting to play with at some point is them getting their cutie marks. Frankly, they probably won't know what they are without other ponies to tell them which will help them earn them faster as Uncle encourages them to explore their interests instead of doing stupid shit. That will cause some serious chaos as they try to figure out what is going on and research the marks which will be even funnier because of how strongly it contrasts with canon.
Another is for you to go to a library and pull a parenting book to see if it has any ideas that would backfire in amusing ways because Uncle will undoubtedly make Jackie do that sooner or later because they are so out of their depth.
A third is to have Sweetie Belle or possibly Apple Bloom conjure tree sap all over themselves and Uncle while learning magic, both as a homage to their record on the show and as a future combat spell because dumping a mountain of tree sap on someone will make it quite hard for them to move.
Well one thing I am curious is where are we in the timeline in comparison to when Jade arrives. It seems like we are somewhere before she was introduced, but is she around a toddler or even born yet?
The reason I ask is that since Jackie and Uncle are being responsible for three youths, maybe this is why some relatives saw that they could handle being responsible for Jade? For instance, having a chapter in which Jade's parents come to visit and see just how well Uncle and Jackie handle raising Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetiebelle and get the idea that they are the best gaurdians for their daughter if they were to send her to America.

1) Jackie trying to teach them to speak Chinese and when they speak it in public they accidentally say weird and hilarious things in Chinese
2) The gang making references from the Rush Hour movies and the Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights movies.
3) The girls eating very spicy food for the first time.
4) Apple Bloom experimenting with her potionmaking skills by mixing some of Earth's more volatile chemicals with explosions ensuing
5) Jackie taking the girls diving in the San Francisco Bay

At least one "Benny-Hill" chase scene with Shendu's Henchmen chasing after the Fillies but Jackie and the fillies are clueless (Because it'd be an insult to Uncle's intelligence and experience if he didn't notice).
