Technically my birthday isn't until Monday but fuck it, birthday blog is a go.

I was supposed to have this chapter up and running last Monday in order to make up for the ridiculous wait for the previous chapter, but I was super dead the last week and couldn't bring myself to do anything, not write, not draw, nothing.

Sad to say thats been the case for most of this week too, though I did get some progress done, work has been killing me outright, but I managed to get yesterday, Monday and Tuesday off so hopefully I can recover from it all before going back to the grindstone, twelve hour days are not conducive to... well anything. (Fun fact, my job literally pays me to 'Check Peoples' privilige', those who get the joke gets a cookie)

Hard to believe it'll soon be two years since I started this mess but there we have it, never thought I'd dedicate this much anything to fanfiction of all things, but it has helped in making me a better writer which was the original goal so I guess its all good.

But I'm tired right now so I think I'll just go take a nap, maybe I'll finish the chapter later today or something if all goes well, see you guys later, slan.

You cannot really have your cake and eat it too.

Happy Bdays and beyond.

3355626 Bow-chika-wow-wow

3355643 No. The bat may only be patted once. Anything more and you get to enjoy your new vampiric lifestyle. Have fun =D

3355651 That's alright, I know where to get the cure :rainbowwild:

Holy fuck, mine is Tuesday.

3355540 Thats fine, pretty sure the bat horse wants to eat your neck anyway

3355546 Danke

3355555 Thats future batpony's problem.

3355581 Celestianom

3355626 Bullshit. That bitch is totally going to bite me, look at her, she's just waiting for it.

3355643
3355651
3355668 Wait what cure?

3355696 Huh. Well shit. What do?

3355699 The cure for vampirism.

3355700 Yeah thats what i'm talking about.

What cure for vampirism?

3355703 Easy, you talk to Falion in Morthal, and finish the Rising at Dawn sidequest before the three days are up :trollestia:

3355699
Showboating wankery?

3355730 Sure. Why not?

3355540
Wuss.
More for us.

[Insert joke about "what kind of eating" here]

Happy birthday man, let's hope it's not a 'bad' day that day, eh?
...
Eh?

All this talk of having or eating your cake makes me think of CHIM and zero-sum.

Handyman, have you played the elder scrolls games?

Has Handy played the Elder Scrolls games?

What genres of game did Handyman enjoy pre-Equestria? Post-Equestria? RTS, RPG, VN, Simulators?

Is there miniature wargaming in Handy's world?

Does the tabletop game of Battleship inexplicably exist?

Handyman, have you played the elder scrolls games?

Yes I have.

Has Handy played the Elder Scrolls games?

He only played Oblivion, never finished it.

What genres of game did Handyman enjoy pre-Equestria? Post-Equestria? RTS, RPG, VN, Simulators?

Sorry but Handyman did not ever go to Equestria. I am not the same as my character, please remember this.

Is there miniature wargaming in Handy's world?

Yes, he's quite the fan of 40k and Warhammer Fantasy, though he was always way more into the lore than the actual gaming. Thankfully he left our world before seeing the outcome of The End Times.

If you mean miniature gaming exists in the Equestria Handy is in, it does in fact exist but its very very simple. Its a simple game that is as ubiquitous as Chess in their world and is called different names in different places. In Griffonia its called Usurpation. Its generally agreed upon rules is it takes place on a hexagonical board, usually sectioned off in a grid. These hexagons are painted different colours to simulate terrain and anything can be used as the 'totems' (basically the units of each army), the most common form of totem is to simply carve small cubes or cylinders and paint them with different markings to donate rank and movement rules. The game is played with two six sided die to determined movement and attacks with different ranked totems getting different attacks and health before dying and being taken off board. Battles are typically won when one player's throne is captured by a totem belonging to the other player. This throne totem is considered a part of the totem that captured it, and thus moves with it about the board from then on, much like a 'kinged' pawn in checkers, but much more imporant. The longer a player has the throne, the closer he is to winning, each 'turn' he has the throne, he is allowed to bring one dead totem on his side back from the dead, from weakest totem to strongest, at the same time, the logner the enemy has your throne, each turn one of your totems must be taken off field, again from weakest to strongest. This simulates a rout of your forces. If the losing player takes back his throne, he does not get these totems back. Victory is achieved when one player is entirely routed or destroyed or forced to surrender (which can be achieved if one player's forces are entirely surrounded by another's), the game has a ludicrous number of variations, but due to its potential length of play its usually only played by enthusiasts on special occasions,

Does the tabletop game of Battleship inexplicably exist?

Nope.

1) No, you can keep your cookie! It's a bad joke, and you should feel bad!

2) Mah birfdai is on Saturday in tree or fo' weeks.

If your goal in life isn't to eat at least one of every non-human (land) predator species, then you aren't thinking big enough. My only regret is that I'll never get to hunt and eat something from another planet.

...Or a dolphin, but whatever. Who cares about fish...

Also your taste in shotguns does not match mine, therefore you are a bad person.

Get on my tech level, bro. You don't need fancy things like "shells" or "primers" or "gas seals" to protect yourself like a mentlegen.

3356669
Very cool game system!

Reminds me of the time i developed a ruleset for simplified time-cube chess! I still have it stored somewhere as a jpeg if you care.

Sorry but Handyman did not ever go to Equestria. I am not the same as my character, please remember this.

That was an accident. My fingers shortened "Handy the Man" into "Handyman", i'm still sane yet!

>Not wanting to get sucked.
It's like you don't want to go new places or try new things.

3356669
At this point I'm not even surprised that you've made a game for the mythical creatures to play when they're not out and about being fuckin' griffins or whatever. Somewhere deep in your worldbuilding encyclopedia of mundane things, you probably have a whole universe-within-the-story's-universe of the lore for this game.

I applaud your determination. I would have questioned how much background stuff you have, but then I realized I was planning factory layouts and hand-making props for things that I may mention a handful of times at most.

Carry on, fine sir. We all wait to see what machinations of the mind you put to metaphorical paper.

3355699 Cue Benny hills theme.

3356956

(or any of my other bodily fluids)

Really lacking a spirit of adventure there, guy.

Don't want to eat a horse, don't want to be sucked by a horse... do you even want to live life to its fullest?

I'd congratulate, but there's a common superstition here that congratulating someone for their birthday early brings bad luck and I'm nothing if not an avowed conformist. So you'll have to bloody well wait like everyone else. :derpytongue2:

3357104 Snrk, well I've heard weirder superstitions.

3356925 I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of fractal worldbuilding in my stories.

3356957 No.
