Firstly I'd like to apologize to everyone for not updating any of my stories as of late. Writer's block and real life conspired against me for the past couple weeks. However, I am most likely going ot finish the rough draft of chapter three of "The Side Effects of Molly" tonight, and hopefully it'll be up by sunday.
Why sunday you ask?
Well, on Sunday I'm leaving for Northern Ontario, Canada for my yearly canoe trip.
That is the Kopka River, the trip I am going on this year. This is my sixth year doing this, and I will be gone for a month without access to electricity or running water. So there will be no updates until I get back on July 23rd, which is when I get back home to my computer. However, it is a whitewater Canoe Trip and I have been evacuated before with a broken wrist, so maybe I'll be back a bit sooner. Hopefully not though. In the mean time, Here are some storied that I enjoy that I don't feel have the following they should, so hopefulyl they'll tide you over until I get back. They are in no particular order, just whichever one came to mind first.

This story is by Loyal, one of my favorite authors on this site. This story deserves far more than the 62 upvotes it has, so please go read it.
Any Way You Want It By: Eakin
This is a sequel to a cute OC romance oneshot, only one chapter written and I hope more follow quickly. Good for some feel good moments, and definitely worth a read.
A comedy/slice of life revealing the apples are actually super geniuses? Why not read it?
Red Shoe Diaries: Equestria
A collection of well-wrtten oneshot clopfics, has some Background ponies and most of the main 6 featured so far. I always enjoy reading these, as I'm sure you guys will too if you give it a try.
Of Swords and Hearts
Another OC centered romance fic, except this one is mature. This one updates slowly, and i hope to come back to a new chapter. But whats there is definitely worth a read.
Sunny, Moonie, Twily
Quite frankly, I don't know how this one isn't super popular. Absolutely hilarious to read, chockful of shenanigans and heart heartwarming moments. Undoubtedly a must read.
Different Strokes
One of the few M/M shipfics I ever read and enjoyed. This features two OCs who are really well done and moments that made me almost cry. Absolutely amazing fic.
Hail Mary
Alright, I'll be the first to say I don't enjoy football that much. Not very American I know, but nonetheless I enjoyed this humanized Sparity fic. This is a long one, but is worth the read if you have the time for it
A Roll in the Hay
Oneshot Applecest combined with Rarity? Yes Please. This is the author's first attempt at clop, and it is rally good first poke at the subject. He is working on another story, don't want to give spoilers for it, but I have seen the coverart for it, as Natasha drew it, and it is hot
A Wurm's Meal

A Midwinter's Night Lucid Dream
Another Loyal fic that deserves more attention. OCxLuna, which is a gray area for a lot of people. And while this one doesn't really go outside the box in terms of originality, it is well written and sweet.
Fel Equestria
Ten years after a revolution, Cadance and the Mane 6 return from Tartarus where they essentially became demons. This is the newest fic on this list, the first chapter coming out today, but nonetheless I enjoyed what was there. This is the author's first attempt at "clop-plot" as he puts it, and I think he's going to do a great job with it. I'm hoping it stays on the lighter side of the dark tab personally, but definitely worth a read. No coverart for this one sadly.
Well thats the list, I will say once again that Natasha accepts commissions and will draw basically anything. Also its rather cheap compared to a lot of other artists in the fandom.

have fun on the trip and come home safe, will try to finish ch3 asap... had a bad weekend at work (from 4 hours a day to 10 due to a worker on vacation)
so you're going to be canoing down that distance? how will you be getting your food? longest i've gone without civilization in the bush was 5 days as part of a summer camp thing , we could easily carry the food we needed for that duration on ourselves , i don't see how you'd be able to pack a month's worth of food on you though.....

Its me and eleven other people. And we carry our food in big wooden boxes called wannigans which we carry on our heads. And canoe can carry a surprising amount of gear as well.

We carry extra food for what does perish, but most of it lasts that long as they are canned, powdered, etc. But last year we lost half our dinner supplies because the boat they were in (mine) flipped and the lid of the wannigan literally got ripped off in the white water. So for the next twenty or so kilometers we were picking up polybags of food out of the water, most of which was still edible.

Sounds like you are going to have a blast. I never get to be on the water much, aside from the occasional fishing trips over the course of the year (most of them thanks to a relative who pays for some of it). I do like being out on the calm water, a gentle breeze to cool me from the harsh rays of the sun. Too bad the only place near me charges insane prices to fish there-- $9 from land, not bad. Try $17 just to use the boat launch. And you HAVE to use the boat launch, lest you get a ticket from the rangers. Or pay $175 or so for a pass for the summer...only the summer.
