Eakin

The sequel to my slice of life/romance story that you all probably wanted less than Second Helping of the Good Life. At least this one will have more porn.

Nice. I guess I'll take Going Anywhere off Tracking shortly.

Cue the Journey references in 5... 4... 3... 2...

And holy crap, Tinker's an idiot.

More of these two?

I can't hold in the squees much longer.

“Huh,” he said, mostly to himself. Mares were weird.

:rainbowlaugh:

“My co worker. At the repair shop. Her name’s Melody, and she’s just...

... you done goofed, Tinker. :facehoof:

Yay for a sequel. That ending to the first chapter was just mean though. How could you do that to a mare?

...huh. You don't... You don't normally see a favorite get earned just from the first chapter like this.:pinkiegasp:

....so yeah, this has my fav just from that rather epic hook. I am looking forward to more. :pinkiehappy:

...........HOLY SHIT! I've been wanting a sequel to Going Anywhere for so long! I must read!

yes pls

Alright, I need more. Give this story the love and attention it deserves. This shall be great.

My reaction is as follows:

“It’s...” well, too late to back out now. “There’s kind of this mare. And I think... I think I have feelings for her.”
“Really?” Tinker could hear the grin spreading across her face in the playful tone of Emma’s voice.

:pinkiegasp: ... :pinkiehappy:

“Yeah, really. We pretty much hit it off right from the first time we met. But I’m not sure I really want to tell her that. If she doesn’t feel the same way, it would sort of make things weird. Really weird, actually; I wouldn’t really be able to avoid her. What do you think?”
Emma took a long time thinking quietly, though Tinker felt her heartbeat quicken as he waited for her reply. “I think you should tell her,” she finally said. “Even if she didn’t feel the same way about you, it’s probably best to be honest with her. But I don’t think you need to worry about that, because... I have this crazy hunch that she has feelings for you too.”

:rainbowderp: ... :rainbowkiss:

“If you say so.” Tinker sighed, feeling the weight of the world fall off his shoulders. “Thanks, Em. I was worried that asking out somepony who’s going to be my co worker would make things really awkward.”
“...Who’s going to be what?”

:twilightoops: ... :facehoof:

Tinker, it looks like you have something you need to fix.

... I'm going to strangle Tinker.

So, is this entire series going to be using Journey songs for titles? Because I'm entirely okay with that.

Also, ow. Seriously, oblivious shot to the heart at the end there.

Ooh, and it's incomplete. Looking forward to more, especially if the truth ever comes out. (Which truth? Any of them.)

Also, ow. Seriously, oblivious shot to the heart at the end there.

But is she to blame?

Or does he simply give love a bad name?

:pinkiehappy: I am so sorry. I happened to hear Journey, then Bon Jovi right after, saw your comment, and my brain went *click*.

Oh, Tinker. :facehoof: Though I suppose this level of cluelessness is only to be expected from someone who never figured out who he was getting on the train with.

I kind of hope he does get together with Melody, just so the first time they get frisky he can put two and two together about what Emma did in the first scene. I've never actually seen an awkwardness singularity before.

Tinker you big freaking dingus how could... why didnt... how do... I don't even man Just so much fail. :applejackconfused:

I really like these two characters though, they are very fun to read. Hopefully Tinker will get his head out of his butt sooner rather than later. :raritydespair:

Great story so far keep it coming. :ajsmug:

Wow. That's some magic touch he's got going there. Emma changed her tune quite a bit from the time in the train. I'm guessing Tinker's got some inferiority complex going on here, causing him to think "No, she couldn't possibly be wanting me", because he seemed a bit more open to the idea on the train.

I ain't mad at him. You can't blame the guy for having feelings for who has feelings for.

It's a bit frustrating when you have to think to yourself "no real person could be this stupid."

I am legally required to post this.

Literally everyone is gonna post Journey...So, fuck it, I'm gonna be the black sheep.

Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshooooo..... .... ... .. Wat!? Way to Ask the Lonely there, Tinker!   /)⤳_⤺(\
NO! Bad pony, Tinker! She totally feels Just the Same Way about you! :facehoof:
Girl Can't Help It if she's Feeling That Way! :duck:
The Party's Over if you can't find a way to Escape that terrible lack of honesty! :pinkiesad2:
Tinker... I KNOW you don't realize just what you've done, cause look Who's Crying Now. :fluttercry:
Emma might be saying "I'll Be Alright Without You", but she doesn't want to be going your Separate Ways! :rainbowderp:
Tinker, if you accept Emma with Open Arms, she will be yours, Faithfully, forever! :pinkiegasp:
Don't fail Tinker! Just make it through this Trial by Fire, and you'll find yourself with the love Of a Lifetime!
Forget Mother, Father. What they said doesn't matter. After All These Years living in a Higher Place, :scootangel:
you finally took The Journey and found love for yourself... I Would Find You, you said in your heart!!!
STOP LOOKING TINKER!!! You already found your Good Morning Girl!!! :trollestia:
Open your eyes, and realize Emma loves you in return... Only the Young could be this dumb! :raritystarry:
Be Good to Yourself, and to her... and she'll show you some real Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' excitement! :twilightblush:

**CRASH**

Holy horseapples Emma! Did you see that cart crash! Look at that Wheel in the Sky! It totally went flying! :derpytongue2:

And now Eakin... You have a metric flankload of chapter titles... LOL ◔ᴗ◔

Oh dear... Well, here's hoping things get better.

5626693 Those are all song titles...

~Crystalline Electrostatic~

Oh, Tinker...

Seriously, my God, man. She could not have been less subtle if she tried, and you still managed to say the absolute worst possible combination of words at the worst possible moment. You are so dense that light actually bends around you.

So I have to ask, does your mom still follow your fimfiction account? Because if she did and she found out you wrote pony porn, that would be kinda weird.

How can Tinker be so oblivious? His life was probably far more sheltered than we thought :rainbowlaugh:
Also, he done goofed. Royally.
Also also, yay, more of this! :pinkiehappy:

5626306 So it wasn't just me noticing the Journey-esque titles :rainbowlaugh:

Tinker was too unbelievably stupid. I dont care how sheltered he was, the story was great, but this kind of killed it for me. It feels like tinker was made to act like a complete idiot just to create drama/plot.

Oh Tinker, you oblivious fool, can't see the woods for the trees. Can't say it's totally unexpected though. I'm looking forward to seeing how deep he digs himself before he gets hit with a clue by four

Not if the way he noticed her shaking and trembling alone there just before he fell asleep was anything to go by

missing a dot at the end there.

also: :fluttercry:
poor Emma. When she said Melody sounded like a more... femenine pony... ouch.

Loving it! Keep up the good work!

Whens the next one, Whens the next one, Whens the next one, Whens the next one, Whens the next one, Whens the next one, Whens the next one, Whens the next oneWhens the next oneWhens the next oneWhens the next oneWhens the next oneWhens the next oneWhens the next one.

Got to admit this trope is a bit overused. I was really hyped up after reading the first bits then the part when they share the bed kinda killed my enthusiasm a bit. Still I loved taste of the Good life so I will trust Eakin for now.

I was hoping that story would get a sequel!

Eakin strikes again! Tinker is pretty oblivious but I'm really enjoying it regardless.

Wow, Tinker's more socially inept than me.

I don't swear... at all... I am a man of the cloth.

But... Damn it! Tinker is the biggest moron I have ever seen!

Still, great beginning to a great story, Have my like and favorite.

Damn you, Tinker. You brainless, heartless wretch...

5631721 Yeah, I have enjoyed just about all of Eakin's works, so for now i will have faith that this, in my eyes, horrible character mistake, will be redeemed. My perspective is open.

Well, great start, and good twist at the end. I can see this story being either very great, or just okay depending on where u go with it.
Like my hand as a pre-reader for this?

Aww shit. That really made me sad. I do very much like the direction this story is going though!

Oh Tinker...
:facehoof:

Seriously though, I'm happy to see a continuatio- TWO WEEKS!?
How did I not see this for that long?
:twilightoops:

“If you say so.” Tinker sighed, feeling the weight of the world fall off his shoulders. “Thanks, Em. I was worried that asking out somepony who’s going to be my co worker would make things really awkward.”

boardgametime.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/table_flip.jpg

Tinker you stupid shit.

I hope you continue this, its really good

5623286 GOD DAMN IT TINKER! GOD DAMN IT!

“If you say so.” Tinker sighed, feeling the weight of the world fall off his shoulders. “Thanks, Em. I was worried that asking out somepony who’s going to be my co worker would make things really awkward.”
“...Who’s going to be what?”

AAAARRRGGGGHHHH! NO, GOD DAMN IT TINKER YOU FUCKING MORON!!! AAAARRRGGGGH!

moar?

Tinker is amazingly dense.

Please post more. Resolve this romance.

I know that seemed a little harsh on Emerald Dream (Emma) but in all honesty it is probably for the best, at the beginning on the train she set the bar by telling him not to try anything funny and he respects that, he respects her. he isn't going to do anything to jeopardize what they have. Right now Stuffed Shirt (Tinker) sees her as a friend, his best friend. Sure they have been living together for six weeks but in that time they really haven't had a chance to get to know each other. The only real moment, if you can call it that, that they shared together was the massage and even though it was orgasmic for Emma, Tinker was just helping his friend unwind after a tough day at work, and didn't even realize what was happening beneath his hooves. I hope Emma Doesn't give up though and should never stop believing.
