I just submitted A New World to Equestria Daily for the second time, fingers crossed that they accept it this time.

If their is one thing I learned about that site is this
Unless you're story was edited by Cerulean Voice then theirs no hope
You must be a glutton for punishment. Bunch of snobs for moderators over there.
But, good luck.

Agreed the people over there are comparable to blueblood
Because only the elite are welcome
I don't know why people bitch so much. Is it a crime to want quality work?
I wish you the best of luck man.
You mean they didn't accept it the first time? Are they high?

There is a difference between good quality work, and expecting a fanfic to be written to the same quality and editing as a professional author and published book.
Too many times have they stopped stuff just because of a very few minor errors of unperfected grammar, and/or just because they didn't like the subject. Also, they tend to be even more extremely critical of HiE style stories.
To me they have forgotten what Fan Fiction means.
zeus, lemme lay it down right here and now, and please don't think I'm doing this because I enjoy crushing peoples' dreams.
A New World, a New Way isn't getting accepted by EQD. Reason? It's not written well.
Don't get me wrong, I think the premise is awesome (Pokemon rapture in Equestria, yay!), but a cool idea alone isn't enough to pass EQD's review process. Now you may think their standards are too high for fanfiction, and maybe that's true, but when you get more submissions than you can shake a stick at, you kinda have to be picky with which ones you feature. A New World doesn't meet their set criteria for several reasons, some of which are listed below:
- Spelling and grammar errors every other line.
- Pacing that's rockier than Maud Pie's shrine to the great Crystal Onix.
- A plot that's damn near impossible to comprehend, largely due to the sheer number of characters.
- Speaking of the characters, the ratio of MLP characters to Pokemon characters is heavily skewed in the latter's favor. This is supposed to be a crossover, so one would expect both sides to have a relatively equal number of characters.
- The Pokemon characters are getting WAAAAAY too much screentime compared to the ponies. There's chapters where MLP characters are so fleeting and with so few lines that I forget I'm reading a crossover and not just a straight up Pokemon fic.
Like I said, please don't think I'm enjoying spelling this out for you, because I can tell you really love this story. I don't want to hurt your feelings, but it's better that you learn this now and not after receiving the second rejection notice.
All that said, don't worry about EQD. The story is already insanely popular, so there's no need to worry about giving it more exposure. Just keep writing and don't worry about trying to 'get into the big leagues'. Really, it's not worth it; take it from someone who got a story featured there.
Good luck
Hope it's get's accepted man! *fingers crossed*
I am going to be sincere and say Lazrdon is right.
However, is good to have such ambition, good luck God.

did you remember to send your meme along with it as a reason for putting it up?
a cult following has to count for something... right?

I did mention I have over fifty side stories and spin offs.
In any cases you have a
cultloyal fanbase on Fimfiction.
