Bucky: I don't know the specifics yet. If it behaves like a typical tracker, it would activate upon command to know the immediate location. In case a student doesn't show up for a headcount. Simple spell really, most of the time it is off and only activated when necessary.

The current white out conditions make it necessary.

While useful for pranks, that seems like it could have great use in practical applications as well. You should talk to somepony who is good with enchantment and see if it's possible to imbue the effect into a pair of objects for a continuous field. Probably the simplest useful purpose for it could be transmitting messages.
