A Year in Review (2014) · 9:52pm Dec 31st, 2014
With the new year barreling down on us, I figured I’d take a moment and look at what I’ve done with my time here on FiMFiction.
I started “Blueblood’s Just Zis Guy” and fully intend to come out with another chapter one of these days.
I started the group “Hidden Depths” for those stories that go the extra mile and make ponies more rounded characters and not just caricatures.
I shared a number of ideas, both for stories and for character pairings in a few threads. (I recommend The Idea Exchange and Give Blueblood Some Character, if you’re looking for a couple of more groups to join).
And there’s been the blogs. Some have been essay-like, in presenting an idea and offering support for it (on the sizes of ponies, on dragon biology, on parallels between characters, and on where the stallions are), some have just been ideas to mull over, (puns on the title, puns on Nightmare, silly ideas for family ties, and Dinky's place in EQG), and some have been bits or snippets of stories that I’d never fully write, but wanted to pitch or do a few scenes about (1000 years of lonliess, Blueblood as a human in Equestria, Blueblood the ascetic, a twist on the Anon in Equestria genre, a joke about repuration, and the idea that in less civilized times, Luna was the more popular sister).
Some ideas, some writing... let's see if we can't do more with 2015, though.
Happy new year, all.
Happy new year to you. Those were definitely enjoyable blogs. I hope you continue to do more in the future.
