Man, I hope nobody believed that.

Alright, now that all that April Tom-foolery is over and done with, lets get back to work. Hopefully not starting any new video games or book will get rid of enough distractions to allow me to focus on writing again...

You're Not Going To Believe This...

I’ve got some exciting news, now that it’s April. First, I’m proud to announce that I’m officially taking Blueblood’s Just Zis Guy in an exciting new direction. Text can only go so far with the stories I want to tell, and now it’s finally time to unveil the next obvious step for BJZG… podcasts!

Drafts and Doodles: what I've been up to

Well, I got about six pages of disjointed, rambling emotions pretty quickly out of the "Diamond Tiara's going to go crazy like Screwball one day" idea, but I got distracted before I could figure out how to turn it into a proper story. When, why, how is it all connected... as it is, it doesn't even make a coherent monologue.

Looking for a tragic Diamond Tiara/Screwball story

    Here's the set up:

    Screwball is Diamond Tiara's mother.
The insanity is a hereditary trait.
Diamond Tiara knows, with absolute certainty, that the same thing will happen to her one day. Medical science & magic are not going to find a cure within her lifetime. Maybe in her 20s, maybe in her 40s, some day Tiara will lose her mind.

    All Writing is Practice

    or Progress Report: A Dialogue

So, what have you written since New Years?

Oh, nothing much. Just around 1200 words about Blueblood waking up with a hangover in the middle of a FlashLight sandwich, and trolling/breaking the brains of everyone he meets for the rest of the day.

... like, an actual story, or..?

The Anon in Equestria Fic I'd Love to See · 8:34am Nov 22nd, 2014

A human shows up in Equestria! He's just called Anon, and all the ponies love him! He hangs out and drinks with Berry Punch, and has to spend his days dodging all the mares after him!

Now, for the twists.

The guy is anonymous because he's got amnesia. He's not just generically bland, he legitimately has no history.

All the ponies love him, and no one knows why. It is decidedly unnatural, and the plot of the story is about finding out what's going on and how to stop it.

He hangs out with Berry because one thing he does remember is alcohol, and he's trying to self-medicate (not a healthy choice, mind you), and also because he feels safe around her. After all, while alcohol lowers inhibitions, it also lowers physical performance. Berry may get flirty, but nothing ever comes of it--additionally, he's the first person to take a serious interest in her special talent, so she's easily side-tracked with "shop talk"

Maybe throw in a chapter about how limited his diet is, compared to the locals... "No hay and no flowers of any kind? You can't even have a salt lick? What, do you only eat cupcakes or something?"

In the end, after the day is saved and whatever's causing everyone to feel hot to trot for him is undone, everyone just feels awkward about how they behaved and go back to their lives. No loves are revealed to have been true, and no romances begin.

Oh! And we never learn who Anon was before. His past remains a mystery forever. After all, it's not really important to the story, right?

There probably are stories that fulfill 4/6 of your twists. You get so specific though that it's pretty unlikely that'd ever be written, unless by yourself or as a commission.

Man, I wish this were written

This, I am down with. And I generally hate don't really like stories about Anon.

The last bit, though, would need just a bit of care to avoid becoming extremely aggravating. It's one of those "you're either a genius for pulling it off… or a fool for trying" situations.
