Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas to you all! Santa Rated here with a special adoption for all you good little boys and girls. Well, not so much special as it is the same one I always do, but hey! Christmas! 'Tis the season of giving.
If this is your first time reading my blog and/or Adoption post allow me to quickly explain. I have tons of ideas I get for MLP fanfiction, I can't just write them because lord knows I've tried. A few adoptions have gone through and even been published by the time of this blog. There is nothing wrong with taking an idea from somebody and giving your own twist on it, provided you acknowledge the idea came from somewhere else.

1. Title: A Boy And His Monster
Summary: “Little Will was only nine years old when his parents were murdered before his very eyes by a man on the TV that his mommy said was a “bad and sick man”. He never expected the bad man to home and murder his parents before trying to kill him too. But by a freak accident the two fall off the second story of the house and look to plummet to their fate until a magic beam transported Will to a wonderful land he only thought existed in story books: Equestria.
Will is found by the ponies and soon adopted by them shortly after, thinking he can finally be happy and safe. But fate is cruel.
Will wasn’t the only one to come to Equestria.Someone else has. Someone who has plenty of targets to kill.”
-We all know of stories where a little boy or girl ends up in Equestria because they had a hard life. This is similar, but it adds a twist to it. Will never comes from a bad home, but his parents are murdered by a psychopath and while trying to get away from the killer, he is teleported to Equestria. However, his killer also is teleported, but lands in a different area.
-While Will slowly grows accustomed to this new world and finds a surrogate family in the ponies, the killer is overjoyed and slowly starts his killing spree again. Is murders are subtle at first, but he soon fear of him grows as he remains hidden and clever. A type of criminal Equestria has never dealt with. Once Will becomes publicly known, the killer then turns his sights on Will and tries to finish his job.
-The personalities of Will and his killer are up to you and this story plays the cute button a lot, but also the grimdark too. So the trick is to balance both.
2. Title: Changing One’s Fate
Summary: “Trixie Lulamoon. Disgraced Magician. Fated to be hated and despised all over Equestria. Three years after her mistakes, she has made a living finding rare magical items and artifacts and selling them to the highest price, all while trying to make up for her past misdeeds. However, she one day finds a helmet that turns out to be sentient named Nabu, the Helmet of Fate and Lord of Order. While he finds Trixie “unworthy” at first, he later finds the good a potential within her and transforms her into the new Doctor Fate. With a chance to make up for her past, Trixie takes the role of a hero to fight the forces of Chaos.
However, not everypony is willing to trust the new Dr. Fate so easily, as it is a power most would rather see sealed or destroyed then walk among mortals again. They may have no choice as the Forces of Chaos grow ever stronger.”
-You don’t have to be an expert in the Superhero Dr. Fate to do this fic. If need be I can help you learn about what he can do and who he is. Pretty much if you’re a comic fan, specifically DC, you know who this is. If your Marvel, think of him as the original Doctor Strange (Yes, Fate came first).
-Let me be clear, this has no ties to the rest of the DC universe, just the helmet and maybe other aspects of the Fate comics if you want. Trixie finds the helmet which controls her (and later she learns to control the powers herself by working with Nabu as one mind) and gives her incredible powers that would make her rival most magical beings, only getting stronger as time goes on. She’s not, however, as powerful as Twilight or the rest of the alicorns early on, but eventually she will surpass them. Trixie is a superhero trying to redeem herself, that’s an important thing to keep note of.
-Dr. Fate wins the hearts of ponies, but the Princesses do not trust Dr. Fate and seek to seal the helmet away. The reason why is a secret I will not tell until a person adopts the fic.
3. “Invasion of the Mine Turtles”
Summary: “Ponyville thought the parasprites were bad, now they have to deal with a worse problem. One that is cute, dangerous, and friendly.”
-If your asdf fan, you’ll get this.
4. “In Loving Memory Of Princess Luna”
Summary: “While going through records to settle an issue at her night court, Princess Luna is shocked to find a death certificate that states she died the night Nightmare Moon attacked. When pressed for answers, Celestia admits that she faked Luna’s death to hide the fact she “WAS” Nightmare Moon all those years ago. Naturally, the smart and right thing to do would be to change tha-screw it, you know she’s going to take advantage of this.”
-If you know me, you know this is the type of humor I like. So Luna finds out she’s been “technically” dead for a thousand years and decides to use this new information to her advantage. She’ll get in trouble, due a few crazy things, and take advantage of the fact that since she’s dead she can’t have consequences for it.

5. “Chaos Is Unpredictable”
Summary: “Discord thought long and hard about his options: join Tirek or not. He could have his freedom back, rule Equestria again, be the powerful baddie he once was. But then he thought of her. The one who called him friend. And before he knew it, he sent Tirek back to Tartarus without a second thought.”
-An AU where Discord chooses not to betray everypony to the shock of all, making ponies wonder if he really has changed. While Twilight and Fluttershy grows closer to him, starting to see him as a true friend, the others ponder if maybe they’ve been to hard on the spirit of chaos and perhaps maybe its time they give him a fair shot instead of not initially trusting him.
6. “Babality”
Summary: “The Elements of Harmony are some of the most powerful weapons in the world. Purifying those who have done wrong and acted in chaos. Twilight and her friends believed that ths would defeat Nightmare Moon once and for and all. And it did. By turning her into a baby.
Wait, what?!”
-Pretty much the concept of “EOH turn villains into babies”. And I’m not just stopping at Nightmare Moon. We also got Discord and Sunset Shimmer who were hit by the magical rainbow of doom. That means three babies will be getting treated with love by our mane six.
-It will be full of dawwws, loves, and hard trials as the mane six have to act as parents to three formally evil beings and raise them to be good.

1) That sounds like the start of half of the bad fics on this site. "A PORTAL BRINGS A BRONY TO EQUETRIA!!" or something similar is a bad, bad idea.
2) I thought this was going to be a Dr. Who rip, so I was about to yell at you for this, but this actually sounds interesting. I do find Dr. Fate pretty lame regardless, mostly because I don't like the character as a whole.
3) ...Now you need to get out.
4) Death Certificate? Faked it? Yes... yes I do know you and I know you do this a lot. Do you need me to pull up the banner and have another intervention? Seriously, this is damn near the same as that other death fic you tried to pull on me (the one where a pony, I think Lyra, wanted to use her fake death to avoid taxes).
5) This one is 100% fine. I have no complaints.
6) I don't know about you, but I would have never used these on Sunset if this was what happened (at least unless there was a good way to reverse it). NMM makes sense because you didn't know it was going to do that. Discord it was kinda the only option. Sunset? Meh.
I haven't been watching the show religiously and I can't say Amy of these ideas speaks to my views on the show. That being the show focuses more on character interaction and growth more than it does pure drama, adventure and comedy. Most of these genres are brought out by the characters and their ethics and morals. Not the other way around.
Anyway, this list to me seems to be the weakest batch of fic ideas. I can't be bothered to name what's wrong with them if only because i need my rest for tomorrow. Night everyone and Happy Holidays!
