Rise of Rated's Fanfic Adoption Agency · 2:07pm Sep 5th, 2014

Time to bend over and... oh wait, wrong blog.

Um....

G-greetings my fellow bronies from around the world. Yes, it's time for another Adoption Agency Blog. Just because I work five nights a week now running back and forth with my heels feeling like I am on fire, doesn't mean I can't still give ideas. I'm actually glad this blog series has been successful with various adoptions now being seen on the site such as Accidental Soul Mates, The Equestrian Blood Mage, and The Sun Won't Come Home.

If this is your first time reading my blog and/or Adoption post allow me to quickly explain. I have tons of ideas I get for MLP fanfiction, I can't just write them because I have so much time and so little to do…wait, strike that. Reverse it. A few adoptions have gone through and even been published by the time of this blog. There is nothing wrong with taking an idea from somebody and giving your own twist on it, provided you acknowledge the idea came from somewhere else.

As always you can find previous adoption blog posts with more free stories waiting to be adopted these links:

So onto our new ones:

1. Title: “Earning Love”

Idea Premise: “After a near fatal accident that almost leads to her death, Diamond Tiara has a dream where nopony came to her funeral. She learns the bitter truth that nopony except her father really loves her; even Silver Spoon only likes her for her money. Determined to change herself, she goes on journey of self-discovery to know what it means to earn the love and respect of those around you. Not with money or power, but with kindness and friendship.”

-This is a much lighter hearted version of a Diamond Tiara redemption story. Instead of losing something, or going through a rough time, she merely comes to the realization of her bad behavior through her own epiphany. She goes out of her way to stop her bad behaviors and try to change, with not everypony believing her at first but slowly they do so as time goes on. Where ever you want to go with this is up to you.

2. Title: “The Cult” (adopted by Quill Trace )

Idea Premise: “Applejack’s problems only got worse and worse ever since modern technology began taking over farming. Unicorns and pegasi are now just as good as earth ponies with their inventions and despite her arguments about earth pony pride, nopony seem to really care about it. Not even her own fellow earth ponies.

With the farm being sold, Granny long gone, and her siblings to feed with no home, Applejack felt nothing could save her and believes Faust as abandoned her. Until he came.

Father Terra, leader of an earth pony only congregation comes to Ponyville. He preaches about earth ponies being the children of Mother Earth, and the special bond they all share together. He offers Applejack and others a chance at a new life, a chance to be part of his family. In a land where they can farm and grow and live as free ponies, blessed by Mother Earth. Despite the warnings of her friends, Applejack and her family agree and soon join the Covent of Mother Earth.

It’s just as paradise as Father Terra says, and soon Applejack rejects her old faith for this new one; one that suits her and her pride. However, as time goes on she notices strange things. Like how there is a lot of weapons and armed ponies around. The increase of hatred for unicorns and pegasi. The foals being separated from their parents and family. And the most concerning is the talk about a “Final Judgment”.
Applejack may have bitten more then she could chew.”

- I don’t think this has ever been done before, but in this story Applejack and her family join a cult of Earth Ponies who believe that they are the chosen of Mother Earth and will return the old ways back to those who are lost. Because of financial reasons, her own dwindling faith in her old religion, and the fact that society is changing too much for her, Applejack is hooked like so many other sorry souls who become victims of cults.

-The story is not anti-religious and shouldn’t be, it’s about the dangers and warnings of cults and all the dark stuff that happens. How lives are lost or ruined from these dangerous groups, but people are too afraid or brainwashed to leave. Applejack has to go through this nightmare as she tries to figure out a way on how to save her family. Problem is, they’re into it more than her.

- 3. Title: “The Law Is The Law”

Idea Summary: “Equestria is a land where second and even third chances are possible. However, there is one exception and that is murder. A life lost by cold blood must be paid with the murderer’s own life and nopony is exempted from this. Not a noble or a commoner. Not even Princess Celestia.”

-In this idea, Princess Celestia commits murder in a flash of blind rage against a character, be it make up or a canon one, and horrified by what she has done she submits herself to the law. Her punishment is execution, but there are many who would not want to see her die for this, including her own sister and apprentice. Yet Princess Celestia is determined to see it through, claiming that if she is exempted others might try to do the same for various reasons. Others argue that since Celestia has done good all her life, one murdered life doesn’t wash away all the good she has done. The ending is up to the reader either Celestia dies or she lives.

- 4. Title: “The Benevolent Usurper”

Idea Summary: “When Chris came to the world of Equestria, he wasn’t treated well by society at first. Determined to see him become welcomed, Twilight took him in and began to teach him about Equestria, even helping him learn magic after he discovered he could use it. When it was learned he could do magic, their opinions of him changed, since those who can use magic, like ponies, are special in Equestria as it always has been. Chris didn’t seem to agree with this, saying even non-magicals deserved to be treated right and often argued with Twilight about the flaws of Equestrian society.

Chris then disappeared for two weeks before retuning and challenging the Royal Sisters for the throne, using an old law that would give him all the rights of Equestria’s government. At first, it was believed he would lose, but Chris knows the weakness of magic: Magnetite. Wielding an armor of it, he defeats the sisters, shocking the world as he becomes King of Equestria.

Everypony expected dark days… what they got was a new Golden Age.”

-Inspired by Villainous, the human comes to Equestria and at first he enjoys it, especially when it’s learned he can use magic. However, the flaws of Equestria are soon noticed (Those flaws can be based on the writer’s decision) and despite urging the sisters and Elements to consider changing things, they claim their way his harmonious when Chris knows this isn’t. Knowing he has to change the world on his own, with the least amount of bloodshed, Chris challenges for the throne and wins using magic’s one weakness: magnetite (or whatever else the writer wants to use).

-Unlike Jasper, Chris is a good ruler who slowly begins to change Equestria for the better and ponies start to actually prefer his rule compared to the princesses. Especially when he creates a way for the sun and moon to move on their own, allows all races to be equal, allow commoners to vote on the Equestrian Council and even join, slowly moving them towards a modern democracy. Twilight, her friends, the princesses, and others however, still think Chris is evil for overthrowing the princesses and try to stop him, despite it being obvious Equestria prefers Chris. Chris doesn’t want to hurt them or fight those who he once called friends, but he will have no choice.

-It’s sort of a reverse role of Villainous, where the “villain” is the hero while those who have been put down from their power are slowly becoming the villains, at least to society.

-5. Title: “The Devil’s Bargain”

Idea Summary: “During the one thousand and five hundred celebrations of Celestia and Luna’s rise to power, a demon named Nzya appears, one of pure evil power to the point where even Discord is afraid of him. He says he has come to claim his payment as promised a thousand and five hundred years ago: Turning two weak sisters into alicorn for their souls.

With no other choice, the two confessed that neither of them were born alicorns and failed Starswirls test. Desperate to have the power to save their home, they summoned a demon and signed a contract giving them power, but at the cost of their souls when the time came to collect.

Before he can collect them though, Twilight offers a challenge to the demon. She’ll complete any task required to have Celestia and Luna keep their souls at the risk of her own being dragged to hell with them. Interested in gaining another powerful soul, Nzya accepts and says she must give him 100 evil souls by half a years end. Or else three alicorns go to hell with him.”

-I actually think the summary speaks for itself.

-6. Title: “In a small town…”

Idea Summary: “Nothing bad ever happens in Ponyville. Sure a few monsters have attacked, but nothing else serious. It has the lowest crime rate, and doesn’t even have a jail for those who commit crimes. They’re so minor that they get either a fine or community service. Everypony knows everypony in the small town, and everypony trust everypony.

That is until a filly is found, dead and molested.

Now, nopony trust anypony.”

-In this story, a filly (one from the show, I was thinking Apple Bloom) is found dead with hints of sexual assault before her murder. With little evidence of who could have done this, everypony starts to suspect everypony of who’s responsible. Twilight (Pre-alicorn) leads an investigation and has to use all her knowledge to find the murderer. But as fillies and colts start piling up on the list of the dead, paranoia begins to insure as ponies accuse ponies and various dark secrets are brought to light. The killer is up to the writer.

-7. Title: “Hatred” (Adopted by VampDash)

Idea Summary: “Twilight and her friends were once again called to fight against a revived Sombra and his cult. They manage to beat him, but not before he placed a curse on the six, forcing them every night to feel nightmares based on their own personal hatred. With Luna unable to help them, she says the six must confront the sources of their hatred and be relieved of them.”

-Like I said in the summary, the mane six are cursed to suffer in their dreams based on their hatreds until they finally confront the source of their problems and deal with it. Each of the six have the following hatreds:

Twilight hates Princess Celestia for making her an immortal alicorn without her permission.

Applejack hates her parents because they promised they would return home but died.

Rarity hates the Canterlot Elite because no matter she knows that no matter how successful she is she’ll never be accepted because of her commoner background.

Fluttershy hates being one of the Elements of Harmony because she never wanted to go on adventures or risk her life. She wanted to just be alone and safe.

Rainbow Dash hates her father because he didn’t want her to become a Wonderbolt.

Pinkie Pie hates Mrs. Cake because she knows that the Twins are not Mr. Cake’s children.

-While they confront these hatreds, they learn something from them that shocks them to their core. What that is I’ll tell the reader privately to avoid spoilers.

That's everything, message me if you want one of these or one from a previous blog. Later

When I read number 6, I had immediate flashbacks from when I read Cheerilee's Garden. Except there's no rape. At all. Yikes!
