Greetings my fellow bronies from around the world. First off, happy mother's day to all mother's and grandmother's out there. I'll be celebrating with my own mother and grandmother's shortly as well. However, I decided to leave a gift for you all as well. Yup, it's another Fanfiction Adoption Blog! Despite what you might be thinking however none of these stories are in anyway mother related.
The title's not fully a lie though since it IS Mother's Day.
If this is your first time reading my blog and or Adoption post allow me to quickly explain. I have tons of ideas I get for MLP fanfiction, I can't just write them as fast as RainbowBob can (seriously, that guy has way to much time on his hands) so instead I give them out to the people to write them should they choose to. A few adoptions have happened, none published at the time of this blog, but there is nothing wrong with taking an idea from somebody and giving your own twist on it, provided you acknowledge the idea came from somewhere else.

Now let's get started:
1. Title: “That’s So Derpy”
Idea Summary: “Derpy Hooves is your average single mom who tries to make a decent living and have a good time with her friends and daughter. What most ponies don’t know is that Derpy has a rare special power: she can get glimpses of the future whenever her eyes are straight. Sometimes these visions are serious, sometimes they are meaningless, and sometimes she doesn’t know what they mean. But whenever she gets an future perdition, she knows a new adventure is on the way.”
-If you haven’t guessed this is based on the TV show “That’s So Raven” which follows the basis pretty much, but Derpy is a single mother instead of a teenager. The show works like the TV show, each chapter is an adventure of Derpy dealing with a problem, minor or major, that happens and she gets psychic visions whenever her derping eyes straighten out.
-Only three ponies know of her visions: Her daughter Dinky, her best friend Carrot Top, and Derpy’s friend and inventor Time Turner. She does her best to keep it a secret in fear of ponies treating her differently or seeing her as a freak since she’s a pegasus who gets unicorn like magic. The adventures they have can be fun, serious, sad, or well learning.
2. Title: “Accidental Soul Mates” (Adopted by Autum Breeze)
Idea: Summary: “Everypony has a soul mate, one they are destined to live with and love for all their days. They give their body, heart, and soul to each other. Rarely do soul mates ever change, but occasionally there is the twist of fate that happens.
During their escape from the crystal caverns, a lose rock manages to almost impale Twilight before Cadence takes the blow. Seeing her foal sitter dying, Twilight uses all her magic to save Princess Cadence with a very dangerous spell. It is not without a consequence as she, unknowingly, gives her own life energy to Cadence, tearing up the soul bond between her brother and her foal sitter. Instead, it makes a new one: one between the two of them.
With Shining Armor’s own bond broken it attaches itself to the closest being it can: Queen Chrysalis. “
-The AU focuses on two parings: CadencexTwilight and Shining ArmorxChrysalis. In order to save her dying friend, Twilight uses her own life energy to help Cadence, creating a new soul link between them thus making them soul mates. Shining’s also reattaches itself, this time to Chrysalis. Because of this, the two new groups are bonded and the old one is gone.
-After the changelings are banished, Queen Chysalis is the one who remains behind and is sent to the dungeons to await sentencing. Shining Armor and Cadence try to redo their wedding, but at the “I’do” part, neither can say it. They can help but feel that their love is gone and after Celestia analysis them, tells them the sad news. They are no longer soul mates, but have new ones now. Twilight, realizing what she has done, runs away in tears and shame while Cadence comforts her. Shining Armor goes to rip a new one into Chrysalis, blaming her for everything, but finds pity in his heart when she hears her scream and cry upon feeling each of her people’s suffering and deaths.
-With no way to fix what has happened, the wedding is called off. Twilight goes back to Ponyville with Cadence accompanying her, wanting to know how Twilight has changed over the years. Chrysalis is summoned to explain her actions and says she did it to save her people from starving. She bows to the princesses and says she’ll take any punishment as long as they spare her subjects since it was all her fault. Celestia agrees. Since no ponies were killed, Chrysalis will give up her royal title and be jailed until she has served her sentence, Shining Armor volunteering to guard her personally, while she and Luna take care of the changelings.
-From there, the two parting start to grow and develop and grow in romance. And yes, it can have clop.
3. Title: “Imagine Breaker”
Idea Summary: “The world of Gaea is full of magic. Every living thing about it thrives and works because of magic. So what would happen if someone could break it? Enter Thomas, an average guy who gets sent to Equestria by accident. There is nothing special about him; he’s just average and wants to go home. The problem is he has an unknown ability that all the world fears.
If his right arm touches anything magical, it instantly neutralizes the magic. Anything.
Pegasi stop flying. Earth ponies lose their strength. Unicorns can’t cast magic at all. The Tree of Harmony. The Crystal Heart. Even Princess Celestia and the other alicorns are in danger should he touch them. He is a blight upon their world and now Thomas now has to deal with everypony that either fears him, hates him, wants to control him, or capture him. With very few allies, he’ll have to rely on his human wits and this strange new power if he wants to find a way home. “
-Based on Toma’s ability from the anime Tohou Majutsu no Index, Thomas is your average guy who has a pretty average life. He has no dark secret or tragic past, or even dreams of a better life. He’s an average 17 year old who wants to just pass his finals. One day, he goes to a magic shop for his cousin’s birthday party and touches a mirror that transports him to another world.
-In this world, Thomas has an ability where anything his right arm touches, instantly destroys magical objects, neutralizes magic from a living magical being (be it blessing or curse) and if held longer or hit with such force like a punch can permanently disable their magic. Other than that, he has no special abilities, just his wit. (If you want to know how powerful this ability is, in the anime, Toma can touch even things blessed by God and cancel their power. I suggest watching the show to see how it works)
-Because of his unknown and new power, the world mostly fears him and seeks to seal him away or even kill him. Some want to study him or use his power for their own gains. All Thomas wants to do is go home. He has a sense of right and wrong and overall a good heart (Although he is a lazy starky bastard) which earns him a few friends as his adventures continue. How they go is up to the writer.
4. Title “Return of the Fallen Student”
Idea Summary: “Sunset Shimmer has a good life. She’s a straight A student at Canterlot High, has five good friends, and an adopted family that loves her. But the truth is she’s hiding a secret of her past. A secret that she never thought she would have to reveal until a talking dog, familiar to her, appears and tells her horrible news. She is needed back in Canterlot after all these years to save Equestria from a great evil that has taken over it as a tyrant.
The Elements of Harmony are dead, and remaining alicorn princesses, now powerless, are leading a resistance against her.
But that’s not the worst part. The one who is doing all this, the one who has ruled Equestria with an iron hoof is the one that nopony expected it to be. Sunset’s oldest friend, the one she left in jealously, the one that Celestia, her mentor, praised and loved like a daughter.
Twilight Sparkle.”
-In this AU, Sunset Shimmer didn’t leave Celestia’s side and actually stayed when Twilight joined as a fellow apprentice. The two got along pretty well until it was clear that Twilight was the more talented magic user and Celestia’s main focus. After a fight with her mentor, Sunset Shimmer runs away into the mirror world where she finds herself lost and confused. She’s later adopted by a family and goes to normal school where she makes friends with the human Mane 5, eventually forgetting her old life for this one.
-That is until Spike, comes thought he mirror world and tells Sunset Shimmer the horrible news. After she left, history proceeded as normal (Except for Equestria Girls Movie), until the battle of Tirac. When Twilight was given the powers of all three alicorns, she became mad with power and was corrupted by it. She managed to destroy Tirac (and Discord despite Fluttershy's pleas) on her own, but refused to give her new powers back, deciding to rule Equestria on her own so that no other threats could harm it, seeing this as her destiny. Without their powers, Celestia, Luna, and Cadence were forced to go into hiding as Twilight began to slowly conquer all of Equestria and, eventually, the world. Her five friends tried to stop her, try to make her see reason, but she saw them as traitors and executed them before scattered the elements across the world.
-Sunset, seeing her mentor needing help, decides to head back to her old home, telling her friends the truth of who she is. Not wanting to let her face this alone, they follow her, taking on the pony forms of their deceased pony counterparts. Leading the resistance is Celestia, Luna, and Cadence while Spike and Shining Armor are their top fighters. Everypony is shocked by the five mane reappearing again, and Celestia sees a chance to save Equestria by having Sunset and her friends find the six lost elements and use them to stop Twilight.
5. Title: “An Early Funeral” (adopted by Cirrus Tail)
Idea Summary: “Twilight Sparkle has come to terms with the fact that now she is an alicorn princess, she’s going to outlive her friends. She’ll watch them grow old, die, and attend their funerals while saying how great times they had. However, Twilight realizes that none of her friends will be around for her own funeral, so she decides the only thing to do: have her own funeral while her friends are still alive.
And since this is Twilight were talking about you can imagine how this will go.”
- I guess you can say this sort of mocks the whole “Twilight lives forever” thing that goes on. Basically, Twilight decides since it’s unfair that her friends will never attend her funeral and she’ll attend theirs that it’s only right that they give her one now. But this is in pure comedy form.
- Make this a one shot, multi-chapter with funny planning then execution, it’s all up to you on this one.
6. Title: “Dark Doesn’t Always Mean Evil”
Idea Summary: “Dark Magic is always considered evil. It’s corrupted and does nothing but cause pain to others and the user. Outlawed since Equestria’s formation, those who use Dark Magic are captured and executed for their crimes of evil.
But what if one of them wasn’t evil.
A new mysterious unicorn arrives in Ponyville. Suddenly, wraiths attack the village and a bloodbath occurs with some taken prisoner as meals. Twilight goes to rescue them, but nearly meets her end until somepony rescues her. To her surprise, its the new unicorn who defeats the wraiths on his own… with dark magic. He introduces himself as Blackstar, a unicorn whose special ability is Dark Magic itself. He can use the powers without being corrupted and seeks to only do good for Equestria.
Twilight now is torn between keeping this unicorn’s abilities a secret or upholding the law and turning him in.”
-It’s pretty clear what this kind of fic is. Unicorn with dark powers that nopony can understand because they are normally used for evil wishes to use them for good and does so in secret. Twilight, a princess and user of light magic, decides he is good and helps keep his secret as long as possible.
-Any story or past of the character is up to you from there.

I'd be interested in picking up "An Early Funeral" if no one else has yet. It sounds like a great premise, and I think I could work well with it.

2100407 I think it'd make a great story too, but looking at number #2, there's something that really makes me think: the whole 'changelings starving' aspect. I mean, it's not really stated whether changelings need to eat love to survive or whether it's more of a power source for their spells, so I guess it is up to interpretation, though really, there really isn't any indication that they were starving, in fact, from Chrysalis' line "Equestria has more love than any place I've ever encountered" seems to indicate that they've been on a Hunnic conquest for quite some time.
Yeah, I know it's probably not the most important aspect of this story, which really would serve to make a good story, but it's something that always gets me wondering.

I have two good reasons why I'm considering #6. The first is that the concept appeals to me; darkness is stereotypically given the "evil" hat (and wears it with pride), but it's not any more inherently evil than other things.
The second is because I'm a fan of Soul Eater, and you named him Blackstar. I really cannot stop picturing a loud-mouthed goofball with a star tattooed on his shoulder for the pony.
And I have the same number of reasons--two--why I'm hesitant. First, I'm a bit busy lately. Second, I have yet to upload a story I've written. I've gotten three intros to stories completed, but I get stuck on wanting to write the next chapter, at least partway, before uploading what I have so I can guarantee at least some progress.
As it is, I'm on the fence...if someone else goes for that idea, I hope they too like Soul Eater.

I came up with the name Blackstar, but it's in no relation to the character from Soul Eater. He has a different personality. So far nobody has claimed this, if you wish to claim it let me know.

Short description: When Ponyville's best inventor and glass blowing artist Time Turner finds an interesting piece of machinery, he opens it only to be given the memories and knowledge of time's greatest champion. When a box is suddenly drawn to his gifted essence, he will embark on an epic adventure with three friends (writer's choice) to return the essence of a Time Lord to its rightful body, while encountering villains from both the guest and home teams.
I hope this one is more insightful than the unedited version, and may this fanfic reach the hands of not only a brony, but a true whovian!
