Twilight discovers that the winter solstice and the new moon are happening at the same time. Exactly the same time. With the magic of Equestria in danger, Twilight must hurry to Canterlot and save the princesses from... well... Something. Probably.

Yes, Virginia, There Is a Bradel Bound · 11:23pm Nov 6th, 2014

So it's a bit of an open secret that I'm back. Finally. I've been reading and commenting on a few stories—more of that to come. I've been getting back in touch with a lot of old friends (not the psychopomp kind). I read a thing and posted it on YouTube, though fair warning, you're probably going to want those five minutes of your life back.

I also had a birthday, yesterday actually. Which I mention primarily to explain how I wound up with the wonderful gift from Nadnerb that you can now see gracing my Fimfiction profile. I'm kind of blown away by how awesome it is. I was really proud of making my own pony avatar and (I thought) making it look pretty darn cool, but Nadnerb is, like, a legitimate artist. Whose story-related work you'll hopefully be seeing more of in the future, also.

Oh, though, speaking of stories, I kinda didn't want to come back after all this time without at least a little something to show for my absence, so y'all can expect to see something hitting your feeds in the not too distant future. When basically depends on how impatient I am to publish. The thing's written (and blessedly short), but I'm not going for high art with this, just a get-my-feet-wet-again bit of fun.

I'm a bit swamped with school still—it's just a thing, at this point. But I'm really hoping to get back to a few projects like a story or two I'd been working on before I left, and a couple other ones that are still sitting around plotted but incomplete. Also, the Royal Canterlot Library which is lots of awesome as always. Also, maybe some new stuff you might hear about in a little while.

Anyway, thank you all for sticking around, putting up with my extended absences, and just generally being my friends. I really do appreciate you guys a ton, and I couldn't be happier that I know you all.

ETA: Oh, yeah, about that story? It's online now.

Welcome back, man.

Yes. This is the best kind of news:pinkiehappy:.

Welcome back! Your "The Amazingly Awesome Adventures of Tank the Tortoise (by R. Dash)" was FANtastic and one of the things that got me into this site in the first place. I also enjoyed your "A Filly's Guide to Not Making Headlines" I could legitimately see that as an episode of the series.

Ace.

Happy birthday! I love the new DP.

Holy crap! A wild Bradel appears!

Welcome back! :pinkiehappy:

Dude! I didn't expect an instant return. Art powah!

I have to say, it was still a bit of a secret. Fimfiction doesn't have a method of following user comments, and even makes it fairly tricky to find them, a fact which led me to create a browser extension and a fairly ridiculous blog post. (and then get busy and stop reading for a while, oh well :derpytongue2:) I did know you weren't dead though, because it said you'd last logged in an hour ago when I uploaded that picture. (4 days on dA, figured I ought to PM you here if I wanted you to see it in a timely fashion.)

Stay proud man. You had a cool (enough that I thought it deserved a painting) icon, which I still think read better as an avatar than my version. Speaking of which, if you're going to use that as a small, square icon, could I suggest that it might work better if it were cropped a bit closer? Like this. (sorry, can't turn off the art critic)

Also, woot, story! Guess I gotta start reading again. :moustache:

Yeah, now that I've got it up, I have to admit I kind of agree, both about the cropping and about the avatarability. But I've been thinking for a while it'd be nice to be able to mix up my avatar every once in a while, and this gives me another option, which is awesome. (And on full-scale, I absolutely love it!) I'll probably keep it this way for a while, then switch back. Then keep it that way for a while, and switch again. Et cetera.

yaaaay :D

Happy birthday! And that's a cool pic.

Man, when I saw that story I was sorely tempted to upthumb and fave sight unseen, just on the principal of "Hey! Bradel's back!" Welcome back, happy birthday, hope to keep seeing more, looking forward to reading this one... did I miss anything?

2579070
I don't think so. Just "The Rose" this summer, and now "Co-Incidence".

Unless you meant did you miss any particular group of well-wishes, in which case... I'm not sure. I don't know them that thoroughly. But the ones you expressed were very nice, so thank you!

I meant the latter, but "The Rose" was great.
Between that, "Transference", and now "Co-Incidence", you've got this whole Horizonesque "read it again, closer" thing going on. It's awesome, but "Co-Incidence" is driving me crazy. I don't care how dead you are, Author, I want to know what really happened!

Good to see you again!
