Well the good news. I've gotten off my butt and started writing the next chapter for Princess Celestia: The Changeling Queen. Also, Comet Burst has begun to refocus his attention on Of Swords and Hearts chapter 2.
The bad news... the new chapter ideas are proving more complex than usual. I have two options.
I can first publish Chapter 19, current name, Twilight's Time, that reintroduces Twilight into the plot of the story, but also hints as to the conflicts in the other chapter. It will have no actual appearances of Alternia or Chrysalis though...
Or I can wait, on both chapters until the next chapter... Chapter 20: Cyndra and Chrysalis, is finished. Obviously from the title, this will be where everything regarding Cyndra and Chrysalis comes to a head. A nod of thanks to Comet Burst for the idea about how to ramp up and address the conflict in literally the most climatic way possible. Obviously I'm tweaking his idea... but ohhhhh boy. Readers, bring out the popcorn, and probably the tissues people. I'm turning on my horrible author persona again. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
But back to the question. Your opinion on whether I should I do a double chapter or single chapter by chapter update will be much appreciate. Please show it by leaving a comment.
Sincerely,

Which you feel keeps the story more on track, if you have to shift things, then it may throw folks more so.
Hmm. I would suggest in going with whatever path results in the focus being kept on the story, and not completely shifting it to another character for too long. So, get both chapters out, as people who don't read this blog will expect chapter 20 to continue to focus on Twilight unless you do post both chapters at the same time.
Chapter by chapter, in my opinion. Written in series, not parallel. Let the story play itself out as it naturally would with time. Giving each passing moment its individual attention.
I'm actually gonna vote for double chapters. As much as I want an update I don't think I'd be too thrilled with a chapter without Chrysalis or Alternia.
I go for double chapters, in case you start writing the second chapter and you realize something needs changing in the first
Ah... A good question.
One chapter at a time would be better I guess. More time to properly appreciate each one
It depends, post them both at the same time if they both take place at the same time, but if one happens before the other than post them one at a time. I personally don't mind a chapter without Chrysalis or Alternia, but for me it depends on whether or not one happens first.
I'm cool with whatever really. As long as you bring me a story update within reasonable time then I will not complain.
I'd say double chapters for this update.
I confess i side with, what works best for you as a writer.
Prefer a chapter by chapter update, but either is fine.
