The End of DEATH BATTLE: Equestria + Story Cancellations and Future Plans · 5:55am Jul 2nd, 2014
Yeah, I'm gonna end it soon.
Yeah, I'm blunt about it.
After Project Toxic - which is the battle after the next one - I'm going to mark the story as Complete. The tournament will either continue on KenSES64's profile (if he agrees to it; still have to bring it up with him), or it'll stay on the original story and I'll just update the chapters without editing them. And then when the tournament is over, the story's over for good.
The reason for this? I have three reasons, actually.
1. I'm running out of matchup ideas that don't involve pulling OCs or characters from other universes.
2. I no longer enjoy writing the story because fight scenes have become a nuisance.
3. I want to focus on other stories I have planned - a slice-of-life collab, Project Decades, a solo effort, and another Fallout: Equestria tri-collab. Every other story I have going on at the moment, consider cancelled. Or just on indefinite hiatus.
My interests have changed greatly since I began the stories I have at the moment. I'm more into slice-of-life stuff that comes with a twist now, rather than my previous works that are dark and adventurous with a slight comedic side, literally nothing but fighting, attempts at psychological childhood trauma, or...some crap that was destined to go nowhere.
So, yes. I'm starting all over with my stories now. Four new ones will come soon to replace the three I've been focusing on for...too long, honestly. Expect them whenever they're ready. Maybe one of them won't even ever happen, depending on how it goes. But since a couple of them are collabs, and one will be entirely pre-written before I start updating it, I think I'll be able to handle the workload this time around.
...Well crud. Shame you're doing this, but I completely understand the reasons why. I wish you luck with your new stories.
2250509 Honestly, I would continue DBE - after a break to replenish my creative juices for fight scenes, of course - if there were more matchups. But really, they're all either OC-related or just stuff I literally can't do (Celestia VS Luna; anything with Sombra; etc.).
2250516 Yeah, there's kinda a limit on what is feasibly possible and what isn't merely conjecture and head-cannon.
Then my death battle series that I'm about to start can take over. It mostly will use alternate universe versions of canon characters.

Yeah, I'll continue the tournament, though I am still waiting for you to post Aoi vs. Shadow Blitz before I start working on round two.
Also, that other battle idea that I had, yeah I realized that comparing the characters would be difficult, so I'm not going to do it.
For those who have no clue what I'm talking about, and since I'm not doing it so there's no point of hiding it, I was thinking of doing Shining Armor vs. Lee Everett.

You're ending the series? I'll miss it a lot... But I can understand if you need to end it.
