I swear every time I blink this site has fifteen new features. Six months isn't /that/ long a time to blink, is it?

    Here's your closure.

I'm sorry folks. My mother passed away last year, so, forgive me for being curt.

I am not coming back to Whisper of Wind. It will not be finished.

Please, stop asking me about it.

    Okay so, Poll time again.

I'm sitting on a number of things now, thanks to the S5 finale kicking me into gear. That said, I've got nothing in a finished state just yet. I feel like I should post something new though, if just so I don't wind up going into another drought.

These are just placeholder names, but they are-

    Phantom Responsibility

"Phantom Responsibility. Tell me, have you ever heard of anything like that?"

    "I... n-no, I can't say that I have."

Sunset Shimmer sighed and nodded. "I'd figured as such. But it's the closest description that we've got, to what's happening here... or rather, over there."

    A Foe on Equestrian Soil

"Come on out, darling..." Rarity crooned to the open air. "I know you're out here somewhere..."

The forest air was deathly still, but the white pony knew not to let her guard down. Especially not now. Not while their 'visitor' was still at large.

"Did the Order of the Horn send you?" a mare's voice echoed through the woods around her. "A white unicorn. You had to have been!"

A Funeral Dirge you can Dance to.

This was an 'end' to a story that I had no idea how to actually begin or even middle for. So it stands alone. Also, many apologies to Jim Henson, God rest his soul.

"Okay so, how do we get ourselves out of this one?"

I'm sorry, but Silver Bell sounds incredibly feminine to me.

I think that Sugar beat is the best alternative.:unsuresweetie: I always liked Sweepy Belle, though.:applejackunsure:

I really think his name should be Horatio Hortence Humperdink. It just fits so well.

Sweepy Bell works just fine. Not Belle, Bell.

I voted for "Sweetie Beau", but my second choice would be to keep "Sweepy Bell". I just can't help but think of this when I hear "Sugar Beat", and I think you'd be better off reserving "Silver" for alternate Silver Spoon's name. Personally, I think it might sound strange, or even be confusing, if you used the word "Silver" in AU Sweetie Belle's name but not AU Silver Spoon's, let alone both of them. Further details in my comment in your last blog post (it's comment #4; sorry, I don't know how to link to it directly, if that's even possible).

139682 Really though, with the FiM naming style... what doesn't? Face it, the few male names we've seen in the show besides Big Macintosh have been pretty lame. (Filthy Rich, Fancy Pants, Shining Armor)...

Viewing the names objectively, I voted for "Silver Bell", though I'm still in favour of not changing anything because it's fine the way it is. I wouldn't worry too much about whether a name "sounds feminine" or not. That's... kind of the point of the show - femininity is whatever a girl wants it to be, and likewise for masculinity. The only names that really don't work for male ponies are the ones which actually draw from real-world feminine names, like Trixie.

The only issue I have with Silver Bell is that there's a (female) character with that name in Fallout: Equestria.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

How about "Swifty" something? It sounds kinda masculine as far as masculinity goes... maybe "Knell" or something instead of bell. Just a thought.

To those complaining about Silver Spoon: We have yet to see what her male counterpart's name is. Ergo, it's quite possible that it's something else entirely.

On that note, Conner, I have a suggestion for Silver Spoon's male self: Blue Chip, taken from Hope_Fox's 'The Other Side', which was originally inspired by 'On a Cross and Arrow'. It's a very good read, despite being only three chapters long so far.

Is this poll goign to go for scootaroll too? To be honest, it sounds like you couldn't think of a name, said "fuck it" and flipped a table. :derpytongue2:

139693That name reminds me of Prince Humperdinck..:applejackunsure: Not sure if want.

of those options i pick...
Q, none of them, they all sound like filly/mare names.

suggestion : Tone something (or vice-versa)
