After a lot of deliberation(*snort* me using big boy words), and looking over the new chapter, I decided to...
Not put in a clop scene in the final ch.
I want final to be sweet and sugary and lovey-dovey and all of that stuff, and, honestly, I think drunk sex might ruin it, so no sex scene. I'm going to do a couple of extra Ch's that WILL have the horse sexy-times that you want, for all of the princesses, Flash/Twilight adorableness, really stupid, silly things, etc... so don't bite my head off...
Also, thanks for eight-hundred followers, really, it means a lot to me.
...So, that's it, I guess, I'll have other important stuff for ya in my authors notes when the fic's done.

In that case, either the "Mature" tag or the "Sex" tag needs to go.
As long as Ares gets gropped by someone (never mind who or what), I'm ok with it.
I suppose that change makes sense and now that you mention it, I think the change will be a lot better than what was planned before.
Greatly looking forward to seeing how it all wraps up, though! What is Love is easily one of my favorite active stories right now and whenever I see an update, I drop everything to read it.

I feel bad for the people who were promised clop, but honestly I have been thinking for awhile that clop would feel out of place at this point. It would have to be the most romantic "non smutty" sex anybody has ever written. You know, the sex that is story driven and used to progress the romance, not boner fuel. That kind of sex in the story wouldn't be a detriment or feel forced in, but none at all works too.
If you're gonna end the story without planning on putting clop because it would ruin the flow, perhaps have an epilogue?
Either way it is a great story.
Why not just make a side story for the clop scenes?
Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed by this announcement, as I was sort of hoping that Ares and Cadence would get it on at some point.
But no matter, we're still getting sexytimes. So there's that at least.

It's upsetting enough that things have developed the way they have: We got to watch a marriage burn, after all. Clop at the end of it would just be salt in the wound.
I'm fine with this. This story has had me in pain. Not in a bad way but in a good way I can relate to. I would love a happy ending to this that I didn't get lol. Also this had been one of my favorite fics of all time so thank you for creating this. Though il never look a princess candy the same again. Ex she's now princess candy in my mind.

When the only reason a story has a mature tag is due to a single, non-canon/joke chapter, then not only does that chapter need to be a spinoff one shot (because it just doesn't fit with the rest of the story), but the mature tag also doesn't fit. Honestly, it was pretty clear the only reason for that tag was for eventual Ares/Cadence, but that obviously never happened.
