Personally, I am not a fan of split-personalities. Had a chance for that in Pathfinder with the Master Chymist Prestige Class... Too much abuse of it, as in... Ooh, it wasn't me, it was my other personality, like that excuses characters' behavior.
That said, I hope you write it well and the child isn't some malicious little brat.
I enjoy split personalities, it makes a character so much interesting, even in one of my stories there's a character with a split personality... never mind.
