    Yo

Oh man I've been buuuuuuuuuuuusy. Like, so much so. Just moved town and had to get everything situated in a new house. Plus, I've finally adopted a kiddo, so I got that going for me, which is great. More difficult than I ever thought it would, but the wife and I managed to get everything down pat (for now at least).

    Update And Junk

Hey, it's that time of year again. With the colder weather and changing leaves. Or more along the lines of Florida terms, absolutely no difference whatsoever! Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!

    Dear God

I forgot to mention it was my birthday like two days ago. Damn, I've been busier than I thought.

Oh, also, writing a novel. Because I'm a neeeeeeerd.

Whelp I Guess I Should Mention My Vacation Thingy

Lemme tells ya, trying to find a decent internet reception in Miami sucks balls. But on the bright side they have incredibly fruity drinks over here, which is rad.

Also holy fuck so much shit in my feed message. Haven't checked Skype in a long time. So many things. So little time.

    ...

Eh. So how are you guys doing?

So… Seems Like This Story Got Popular · 2:51am Feb 25th, 2014

Spike takes care of Twilight the best he can. She's sick, but he knows she'll get better and everything will get back to normal. But first, he needs to feed her.

For those of you who haven't already seen the story, it seemed to have gotten a good following on such short notice. Especially in regards for a continuation. Like, seriously, I've never gotten so many positive comments (or as positive as tragedy/dark gets you) for a story before, so this is really touching for me. Though the high amount of downvotes leaves me wondering, was there something I did wrong? Any criticism would be greatly appreciated here.

As for sequels or epilogues, sorry to stay but I like the ending of this story way too much to allow it. Plus… it's REALLY hard to keep a story going where only one character talks and it's in the third person. But, I am considering doing prequels of sorts. Perhaps showing how the sickness got started, what happened to the others, maybe even a segment about the princesses. Each will probably be the same tragedy/dark settings, because goddamn do I love me some horror. The horror here being more psychological degradation of the survivor's minds than the zombies themselves, much like Spike in this story. If any of you have any suggestions of where you'd like to see the "survivor goes insane" concept go next for these series of zombie stories, suggest away!

Overall, I'm pleased with how this story turned out, considering it took me the better part of three months to get it just right. Who knows, I might just have an interesting enough concept here to please you guys with!

Everyone do the zombie shuffle!

It's the picture. It's so fucked up that people might avoid your story altogether. They might even downvote and move on without giving it a chance, so that's probably why it's so high.

I don't think it needs a prequel showing what happened, to be honest. it doesn't change what happens to the characters. Think of it kinda like The Road, mang.

Yeah, I've been told that before, though I didn't think it was THAT much of a big deal. I would think maybe the tags would put people off more. :twilightoops:

My reaction to your GIF...

Now to be serious...
Anyway, you're a good writer with a very wide range, you shouldn't be surprised.

1871746 Dude, it's a picture of best pony with half her face and her EYE missing! I absolutely detest such trash (I'm talking about the picture, not your work), and I'm not going to read the story. It's just not my cup of tea, ya know? I like happy things, not dead things. :twilightblush:

Did you not read my comment?

I frankly loved the story

>I'm joking
Lighten up dude, sheesh.

How about you go the Dead Rising route and show Spike battling various survivors of the plague who've gone insane? I'd read the shit out of that, guaranteed. :pinkiehappy:

I have to agree with your assessment of the story. Zombie plague hit. Spike's gone crazy. There's really not much left to tell there.

At least, not in Ponyville... :trixieshiftright:

1871746 Personally, I would probably have given it a pass without the picture. That said, it might be the cause of so many down-votes, or just the dark tragedy tag combo. Especially in comparison to all those light fluffy comedies you usually write.

Me when I read the description and looked at the picture:

denver.mylittlefacewhen.com/media/f/img/mlfw1237_Twilight_Sparkle_nope_nope_nope.gif

But because I am a sensible gentlemen, I just kept on walkin'. :raritywink: None of that downvote things you don't want to read jazz.

Generally, not very many people like Dark stories, nor do they like Tragedy. Having both is pretty much waving a flag in the air that says "You might hate this story because there's no happy ending!"

Though the high amount of downvotes leaves me wondering, was there something I did wrong?

Bob, Bob, Bob... You've done nothing wrong, unless creating an amazingly dark story is counted as a heinous offense. Though it did have me shaking in my boots, (Rather, sneakers. I've never enjoyed wearing boots...) I did enjoy it thoroughly and actually went back to read it again last night, shortly after you replied to my message.

(Sorry for not replying to the message sooner. :twilightblush: It's a bit hard to do on a phone...) ~Golden

Couldn't say, I generally avoid Dark and sad stories, I prefer Humor and fun times in my pony escapism.

Good, good, everything is as I left it.

I think the story was amazing, I really just think people downvoted it for the content. People can't handle their dark
